Zack's POV
I blink my eyes open, blinded by the bright light. I glance around the room. I'm tied up on the cold tile floor. The walls, no, every fixture in the room is white. My eyes finally land on the figures across the room from me.
"Good. You're awake," Nick says.
Standing next to him are Kevin and Sebastien.
"You know, you can run forever, and maybe even manage to hide for a little bit, but we'll always find you. And no matter how hard you try to get away, you never will, not truly," Sebastien says, referencing our encounter on the second floor.
I gulp, scared out of my wits.
"Kevin, go untie him," Sebastien commands.
"Y-you're letting me go?" I ask as Kevin works at undoing the ropes.
"Not hardly," Nick states. "We're just gonna make this more fun."
Kevin walks forward and knees me where it hurts. I double over, gasping for breath.
"What'd you do that for?" I ask.
"Fight!" Cody yells at me.
I don't want to fight. I'm too worn out from last night, and I felt like I made a connection with Kevin in that bar. Maybe now the only reason he's being mean to me is because he doesn't want to get on Sebastien's bad side.
I run for the doors and scream at the top of my lungs, "Help! Somebody help me! Adam! Owen! Please! Help-"
Nick covers my mouth with a cloth, preventing me from shouting anymore.
"That," He says, "Was a very, very bad idea."
While he is speaking, I black out from the chemicals in the cloth.
💀
When I wake up, I'm tied to a table. I frantically try to free my arms and legs, but it's no use. Nick walks in carrying a knife. My eyes widen to the size of saucers as he stalks up to me.
"Guess what? Sebastien's picked a special job for you," he growls.
Then, he plunges the knife down into my side, and I scream out in pain. He does it again and again, careful not to let me bleed out.
"Why are you doing this?" I grit out with pain.
As he slices my flesh, Nick replies, "People are horrible creatures. Every last one of them deserves to die, just as slowly and painfully as I did!"
I mull this over in my mind. Abruptly, the slicing and dicing of me stops. I look at Nick, who has an evil grin on his face.
"You know, I'm getting kinda lonely down here. I think I'm going to go get a friend," he says as he's walking to the door.
The realization of what he's about to do hits me like a ton of bricks.
"NO! LEAVE THEM ALONE, NICK!"
As he's about to walk out the door, Nick stops and looks at me. "Wow. You really care about your friends. I think, since they sound like wonderful people, I want to meet them," he says, leaving the room.
"What have I done?" I think as the room is gassed, knocking me out again.
