Chapter 4: Aftermath

Pearl P.O.V

My eyes look up toward the ceiling. The morning sun beams into the room.

I look over and see Garnet asleep still.

I get up and crack my back, the little pain not effecting me as much.

I look over at my clock.

6:34 am. Early, I need to go pick up Steven.

I put my clothes on and shake Garnet.

She groans and continues sleeping so curiosity took the best of me.

I wanted to see her lower part of her body so I reached for the cover.

When I was close enough I feel Garnet grab my hand.

"Don't." Garnet says in her morning husky voice.

I was resisting the urge to let Garnet pin me down and make me yell 'take me.'

"I-I need- to go get-Steven." I stutter.

She stares at me and then nods.

"I'll be done in a few minutes." I shake my head quickly and hurry out.

A few legit seconds, Garnet walks in, her muscles showing through her tight shirt.

I tap my foot, not trying to look at her muscles.

"We gonna go?" She asks.

I jump and run out to the car.

She chuckles and jumps into the drivers side.

I sit down and text Amethyst to tell Steven to get ready.

Garnet drives into the woods and stops the car.

"Why can't we go up the hill?" I ask.

"Cause they're wolves." She gets out the car, passing glance.

We get out and start walking up the hill. In a few minutes at least, we make it up.

I knock on the door and in a few seconds, Steven opens the door.

"Mom!" Steven yells, hugging me.

"Hey sweetie, how was staying with Amethyst?"

"Fun!! We met a wolf!"

Garnet starts to stutter.

"You ok?" I ask.

She nods.

"Mom! Who's this?!" He yells.

"Oh Steven! This is Garnet."

"Hey kid." She waves.

"Hi!"

We all laugh.

"Hey Amethyst, what kind of wolf was it?" Garnet asks.

"Oh it was big and Grey and White." Garnet stares at her a moment.

"SON OF A-! I have to go!" Garnet yells.

"Ok. I'll see y around I guess?" I ask.

"Yeah." She gives me a quick kiss and runs down the hill.

I turn back around and see Steven and Amethyst giggling me funny looks.

"What? Me and Garnet are chill." I say.

"Sure." Ame says, rolling her eyes.

"What's that?" I ask, pointing to some marks on her neck.

"Oh! Um... I kinda got bit by a wolf."

"What?!"

Garnet P.O.V

JASPER!!!! I telepathically yell out while in wolf form, looking for Jasper.

I see her running ahead, freaking out.

Jasper!!! You bit her!?

I'm SORRY!! Jasper sounds really panicked.

Jasper I'm not going to kill you. We need to tell Rose! She can help her.

Jasper stops.

Ok. I didn't mean too. Reflex. But I hope I didn't turn her. Jasper stares down.

It's fine. We should get Peri but she's
Busy so let's go.

We both go up to hill in time to see Rose in her human form.

We turn back and Jasper walks up to her.

"Rose... I... On accident, but a human!" Jasper slaps herself in anger.

"Jasper. It's fine. But this means we are gonna have to lead them...in wolf form. As in you two lead them up here. Capishe?" Jasper nods happily.

"Go bring them."
