Chapter 7: Anoher way out

Draco POV

All I knew is that Fay had been called by the dark lord and had been gone all of yesterday and about all of today.

Right now it's dinner I didn't go cause of the cabinet. I heard a door open and saw Fay coming my way. She looked more pale. Her eyes darker and her hair changed (though she usually did it herself) to almost the darkest brown.

"Fay where have you been"
"Yeah yeah sorry but here"
She handed me a wrapped package and a vile.
"What is it?"
"Ugh your all questions aren't you? I this cursed necklace so it would hopefully kill Dumbledore. An if that backfires use this poison. He said we have to kill him by he didn't say how" she then turned and started to walk away.

"How did you find a spell for that?"
"Don't ask" was her finally words as she left.

A cursed necklace and poison something I wouldn't expect out of Fay. Cursing objects could have a backfire. I wonder what's gotten into her no matter I'd have to give this to someone no one would expect. Katie Bell.

Vanessa POV
'He better not screw this up that necklace is worth so much to us in our case. I can't stand this Nessa I want out and away from-"

"Shut up will you" I mumbled under my breath

"It's happening again isn't Ness"
"What do you mean Mionie"
"Her voice? You've been hearing her haven't you"
"Mionie I'm fine"
"If she's back and in your head you should talk to Snape"
"I'm fine really"
"Alright. Harry, Ron and I are going to the 3 broom sticks would you like to join?"
"No thank you Mionie I'm gonna go for a walk"
"Alright be safe Nessa"
"Okay Mionie"

I walked back to the room of requirements and to that stupid mirror.
She was always there. It was right we will alway be one until we can fully be separated.

True love a stupid thing, but it always comes around to those who never believed. Those who never needed it. Those who wish to succeed without it.

I pulled the cloth off of the mirror and saw her looking back at me. Seeing her brought the pain that tore me apart. I stumbled back into some old trinkets and onto the couch. I cried that I wasn't Vanessa Fay anymore. I was something worse something that couldn't be contained or controlled anymore by anyone only something one thing.

"Fay?"
'Oh Malfoy wonder what he wants'
"Fay? Is that you?"
'Answer why don't you"

Malfoy had finally walked to where I was at he looked astonished to find me crying. He was went from serious to shock to worry.

"Fay are you crying?"
I didn't care of answering. The images of what she's done before gashed before my eyes.

Draco POV
I never expected to see Fay crying. She seemed more broken. I looked around to see what would have made her cry and noticed that the mirror had been uncovered.

"Did you uncover the mirror"
She nodded
"You said yourself not to uncover it why would-"
"I had to. I had to see something. If what I thought had happened what I saw was real"
"Fay what did you see"
"Something not good. Something he wants"

I sat next to her and tried pulled her into a somewhat comforting hug. I smelt Vanilla

~flash back~
Stupid poisons. Stupid Slughorn. Stupid Potter. Bring a love potion into class with all these girls.

"Now if you all line up and come forward one by one and take a sniff from the potion here and say what you smell"

One by one
'Mowed grass'
'Parchment'
By my turn I didn't know what to expect
"And what do you smell Mr.Malfoy"
"Vanilla"
~end of flash back~

Fay got up and recovered the mirror.
"I heard you gave the package to Katie Bell didn't you? She opened it and basically hexed herself"
"Yeah"
"Stupid noisy girl she is. Well Slughorns party is tonight I expect him to give Dumbledore a Christmas gift whisky most likely considering he's a drunk after dealing with him"
"How do you know all this"
"I can hear. The smallest whisper to loudest scream I hear it all. Plus Slughorn invited me and your coming. Tomorrow is the Masquerade Christmas Ball Dance whatever it is father said that this is are only time to be normal"

"Are you going?"
"No of course not I see no point but I'm going to check the place first then back here with some people who can help me with little jumpstart then after that the cabinet all yours"
"No one can get into Hogwarts"
"They know a way"
"Why tell me? About the dance I mean"
"Well I've heard pug face is still looking away to get you to ask her or just one dance"
"Is there anything you don't hear now"
"It's not like I ask. It's the shadows with everything going on they just speak what is heard"

"Ok well why do I have to go to Slughorn stupid party with you"
"To slip this vile in now go get ready and meet me here at 6"
