Corrin, Felicia, and the others were wandering through the dark, desolate forests of Nohr, for it was the quickest way to reach the castle. The canopy of trees overhead seemed to drown out the light, if their was any, above it. As a damp, rainy smell lingered in the air, crickets chirped, and the leaves crunched as they were stepped on. It felt as though they'd been walking around in the blackness forever now, and Corrin started to wonder if Felicia actually knew where they were going."Felicia, are you sure we're not lost?" Corrin asked, a bit hesitantly. "Well, of course I am! Flora and I used to camp here all the time when we were younger..." Felicia sighed, reminiscing about her twin sister, who had passed away the day before. It wasn't until she walked only a few steps, staring silently at the ground, that she broke into a sob. "I-I...m-miss her..!" Corrin, feeling sorrow, put her hand on Felicia's shoulder. "I'm sorry I couldn't do anything about it... But you have to stay strong, alright, Felicia? You have to keep moving on, for Flora! I'm sure she'd be pleased to know that you're still fighting, and for her cause," she said reassuringly, a soft smile on her face. Felicia sniffled, wiped her tears, and then nodded. She sat down to take a few minutes to regain confidence, and keep control of herself. Felicia then rose, pastel-pink hair swishing and announced, "I-I'll do it for Flora! Now, let's keep going! Follow me!"
As they continued on through the forest, Corrin noticed something glowing in the distance while she was having a conversation with Ryoma, and stopped dead in her tracks. "Hm? Is there something over there?" Ryoma said with confusion, turning in the direction Corrin had been staring in, and noticed odd orbs of light that appeared to be floating. "It looks like..some sort of unnatural glow," Corrin responded, and squinted to see if she was really seeing something. "Something about this doesn't feel right," Ryoma said under his breath. "Do you think they're just some sort of illusions, or could they actually be there? And if so...what are they?" he said as he turned to Corrin. "I-I think we should hurry, I'd rather not find out what's going on," Corrin stammered, and tried to run in the opposite direction, then noticing that they were surrounded by Faceless. "This must be some sort of graveyard if there's that many Faceless! And, we're trapped now!" The Faceless stayed where they stood, though, instead of attacking as they usually would. They seemed to be waiting for someone's orders. Someone with great power, who must've had magical abilities. Corrin wondered how they'd even fight, since it was so dark, they could barely see. She then realized that this someone must be Nohrian.

The young man found it quite amusing that Corrin, raised in Nohr, was now struggling to see in its darkness. "Oh, Corrin, don't tell me that you've already been in Hoshido long enough that you've lost your night eyes? What a disappointment, it seemed like yesterday you were roaming through the dark streets of Nohr without any means of light...And now, here you are, blindly wandering about in the blackness," he laughed to himself, and waited for Corrin to speak. "That voice... It can't be!" Corrin exclaimed, happily, but then realizing that this man was now her enemy, no longer her brother, and was filled with dread. "Leo..?" "Yes, it is in fact me, Corrin. However, what matters more is where am I? You can't defend yourself against an enemy if you can't even tell where they are, now can you?" he said, his mouth curling into a devilish smirk. "My victory is practically guaranteed, dear sister. You have no chance, so why don't you just surrender and return to us? Unless, you'd like to die. We are in a graveyard after all, it's quite fitting..."
Corrin started to feel tense when she heard the words "return to us", and shivered. "I-I..can't do that. Your father's a tyrant, and Nohr's a horrible place.. How dare he kidnap a child from Hoshido, which is known to be very peaceful? He was just asking to cause tension between the kingdoms!" Leo frowned at this, having the thought that though this was true, if she hadn't returned to Hoshido, the tension wouldn't have become even worse like this.
If she hadn't returned to Hoshido, everything would be different; Camilla wouldn't have always hid in her room, barely speaking to anyone, Xander wouldn't almost always be gone training and such, Elise wouldn't have lost inspiration in playing violin, she was nowhere near as cheerful as she used to be, and Leo wouldn't have had to leave the castle to await Corrin's arrival.
Flashbacks of when everyone was family began to race through the prince's mind, and he found himself staring off, speechless. "Milord, is something troubling you to your very soul?"said a voice from behind Leo. "Odin, shush..! I just..needed a bit of time to think to myself.." Corrin's eyes widened upon hearing the second voice, Odin's voice. "Is there..someone with you?" she asked, not in any specific direction, for she still had no idea where Leo was. "Someone else with me?" he asked, a cunning tone in his voice. "Why don't you find out for yourself, if you're so curious, dear sister?" It was eerily silent for a few moments, until the glow of magic lit up the darkness, casting unnaturally figured shadows across the gently rustling trees. As the force of the magic became stronger, the graves crumbled to dust, and dozens more Faceless appeared, as if they had been born from the swamp itself.
