The name Thanatos is from Greek, meaning Death. So it's quite a suiting name for him since he collects soul that are scheduled to die.
But he is not THE Grim Reaper, he's more of a delivery boy. He simply collects the souls and sends them to the actual Grim Reaper who judges the soul on whether they go to heaven or hell. He is not the only reaper around since there are billions of other reapers in the world. Working hard to obtain the souls needed. They are strictly forbidden to interfere with human affairs and use Death Scythes to collect the soul.

Now a little about Thanatos,
- he is 6'8 with a lean muscular build with raven dark hair and his eyes are completely white and his skin is dark coal black - always has a serious/emotionless face - wears a black trench coat with a white button down and a black tie. Along with black shoes and fitting slacks. And of course black gloves and a skull mask (yes, I made the tie white in the drawing ) - carries a journal of the people who he has collected - always gets the job done - his age is unknown - likes drinking and the night - dislikes bright and vibrant things
