Treat you better

\Our facetime call was underway and I was freaking out on the inside.

Me: Hey do I know you I think I've seen you before somewhere haha

Shawn: maybe, have you ever been on a plane that might have been it

Me: oh no it wasn't that because the guy I saw on the plane was sooo much cuter

Shawn: man sucks to be me, I guess ill go since I'm not as cute as the other guy

Me: no please don't  I'm so lonely  (Makes puppy dog face)

Shawn: haha you do make a cute puppy dog face

Me: I do?  (talks to myself out loud) I think your face is cute

Me: Did I say that out loud? Ugh sorry I talk to myself

Shawn:  I do think you make a cute face and  that's ok I do that sometimes but hey I wouldn't mind it since I think it is cute

Shawn: So can I ask you something?

Me: sure ask me anything?

Shawn: Did you really think it was me you saw on the plane?

Me: ya I kind of did but I was thinking after if it really was you and then it just slipped my mind because I was going through other things

Shawn: Do you mind if I ask what you were going though I know its none of my business I'm just curious

Me: I get curious too but if you want to know I could tell you. ok so had just come back from my cousin wedding in Florida and my ex was still on my mind and he was still texting me so I was dealing with that because I was still hooked on him and still kind of am even though I shouldn't. So ya that's my story

Shawn: Ahh ok I could see why you mind was somewhere else. Do you still talk to your ex?

Me: ya sometimes but not really cause when I do he doesn't want to really talk he just bring up memories and I want to talk about things now but he doesn't seem to want that.

Shawn: Well you have me to talk to now and I can try to help you through this

Me: Thank you shawn.. ugh I have no idea what im doing with this its just crazy. how do you get over someone you fell in love with?

Shawn: Well you just try to forget them. You have to just stop trying when the other person doesn't seem to be wanting you. Make yourself realize that you are worth so much more to someone than what they are making you seem like. I honestly think you are a great person even though we have only been talking a short time and this guy is crazy for losing you in his life. You need to just forget him because there is someone better out there for you.

Me: I know, I know you're right, its just so hard for me because I think of the memories I've had with this person and it just makes me miss it all.

(This is where I started crying)

Shawn: Jasmine please don't cry I'm here for you I will treat you better than he can. You are so beautiful and so sweet and funny that this guy doesn't deserve to have you.

Me: I'm sorry I'm crying its just I'm such a mess and I fell so broken inside. I just know I should be treated so much better and to hear you say all those nice things to me just makes me feel so good inside and see the hurt I'm putting myself through with my ex.

Shawn: I understand I have been through it too. You just have to find that right person that can help you get out of the fog and help it clear up. I'm here for you whenever you need me if that is what you would like but if you don't I will understand. I really hope you don't though
