Do you believe in the slender man?

My younger brother, Alex does, I'm Jessica. I'm sixteen and he's twelve, we had another massive fight about it again, he insists that the oh-so-scary slender man is real. So me and my best friend Primrose came up with a plan, I'm round hers right now, and we're keeping this book so we can write down what's happening " let's spend the week in Oakside park" I say

"I don't know... Should we?" She says, worryingly

"It's the only way we'll prove Alex that stupid slender man isn't real, look, I have 2 camping tents we could use" I say, I'm determined to prove my whiny brother wrong

" fine, but I don't know what my mum will say about us camping in an old park"she sighs, but what will my mum say?

" why do you want to spend the week camping in an old, dark forest?" Prim's mother, Eileen, says

" because we need to get away from here" Prim says, looking down at her feet, she nudges me, and I step forward

"It's a project me and Prim have to do, very important" I say quickly, looking Eileen in the eyes, she puts her hands on her hips, while Prim's head shots up and stares at me

"Fine, whatever, but ring me, or your father, Prim" she says sternly

*

"Mum, please?" I say

" FINE! But only for the weekend, the summer holidays is for family as well" my mother snaps, I race upstairs, I grab my duffle bag, I stuff two flashlights I got for reading at night, my camping tents, for when me and Alex camp in the back garden, while Prim goes home to pack her stuff and her drinks. I grab some cans of fizzy drink, fill a empty bottle with water, and head to Prim's house, to see if she's ready

This is it, the day I can prove my brother wrong, and end the arguments, the day, I walk into Oakside park!
