{{A/N: The title really is a song, by the way. cx
This is the finally chapter.
This is the epilogue.
I'm going to miss this!
If you like this story, then I encourage you to go to my other stories and read. I also have a Kellin Quinn fanfic, it's rather short. And a Harry Styles Fanfic that I'm writing for my friend as her Christmas present. (I've not posted either one of them.) If you would like me to post them, leave me a comment saying so.
I never thought that this story would get as many reads as it did, and I'm rather depressed to see it come to an end, as I imagine you would be.
This is my final chapter. }}
-----Epilogue-----
It has been five short years since my first visit to warped tour; and I have to say that these past five years have been the most amazing years of my life.
Toby and I started dating short after my brother got out of the hospital. We dated for 2 and a half years, before he proposed to me. I was very shocked; we were in a concert on my birthday, and Jason Lancaster was singing on stage...
I can remember it like it was yesterday...
Jason lancaster was singing and messing around. When the song ends, "Ladies and Gents, I have a big announcement to make..." I just noticed Toby wasn't anywhere around me, "A have a very special friend here with me today... Would you like to say your name, bro?"
"My name's Toby," the guy says. Hey I know that name! Is that... Oh my gosh... Toby... What're you doing?
"I heard there is a very special girl here with you tonight..." Jason says, nudging Toby.
"Yeah," his voice blends with affection, "her name is Dani." My knees buckle and my heart clenches, oh my gosh... He is talking about me... In front of at least 5,000 people!
"Oh, is that so... Dani, where are you?" Jason asks, and I find myself moving, how're my legs moving? "Oh! There she is! Make way, guys.."
The spotlight goes on me and i don't care, i keep my eyes on Toby's. he had something in his hands, what is that? Is that a... No... It can't be...
I make my way to the top of the stairs and Jason reaches a hand out to me, "Hey, there!" He kisses my cheek and i blush, "there is someone here who needs to ask you something..."
"What?" I say softly, coming closer to Toby, he has a weird look to him.
"Dani..." He says, smiling, "I love you so much... I can't see my future without you there with me..." He gets down on one knee and I gasp, "Danielle Traeh Sparks, will you do me the honor of being my wife?"
Tears are streaming down my face at this point, a insane giggle bubbles up and I shake my head, no words coming out, "yes! Yes! A million times yes!" I come to my knees like him and after he slips a ring on my finger, I envelope him in a hug, and the crowd breaks into a chorus of "awes" and the band starts playing again, dedicating a song to us.
Looking back now, I can't help but smile at that moment. That was almost 2 years ago, we promised that both of us would be finished with college before we even thought about walking down the isle.
I graduated this past spring with A Double Major in Journalism and Psychiatry. Toby with a Major in Music and a Minor in Psychology. We decided that now would be the perfect time for our wedding because it is the fifth anniversary of when we met.
Today is the day. Today is the day I become Mrs. Clark.
"Are you ready?" Kaila says softly, adding the finishing touches to my hair and fluffing out my knee length, white dress with blue sparkles along the sweetheart neckline. My feet clad with a pair of low, black Converse that have today's date along the heel; Toby's idea-- he has a matching pair.
I nod, grinning at my maid of honor, "are you?"
She chuckles, "My best friend, getting married!"
"You're next!" I laugh, holding up her left hand, pointing at her new addition on her ring finger. We commence into a giggling fit like old times and there comes a knock on the door. In comes my mother, Finn's dad close by her; they've been dating for a while now. We really are in a woven love circle!
"You two ready? Your bridesmaids are lined up withToby's groomsmen, your brother is waiting for you outside," she says. I can tell my mother is nervous because of how fast she is talking. It's like... Word diarrhea!
"I'm ready," I say, taking a deep, soothing breath and playing with the blue locket around my neck, it's my something old and something blue-- my dad's locket that my grandma kept for me for my wedding day. I nod as a final confirmation.
"Let's have a wedding!" Finn's dad cheers and claps his hands. I can't help but laugh at his enthusiasm.
Outside the door, awaits my brother; he is in place of our dad. He smiles at me and holds his arm out to me and I take it, squeezing lightly, "thanks for doing this..." I say for like the billionth time today, Josh just shrugs it off like always.
"No problem," he chuckles, "you ready?" Why does everyone keep asking me that? Of course I am!
I nod, motioning to my wedding coordinator, Jayme. She has kept me sane since this all started. With a final smile, the music starts and we begin to move. The flower girls first--Toby's youngest sister and my cousin. Next, goes the Bridesmaids and the Groomsmen, each paired by Toby and I. Finally, Josh pulls my along, under the huge willow tree that covers over the reception area. I can see Toby, standing at the other end, his grin radiating to me.
I can't believe this day is finally here!
The music stops as I reach the alter, Toby's adoration clearly on his face, butterflies flutter in my stomach.
The preach clears his throat, "Dear family and friends, on behalf of Dani and Toby, I welcome you all for this marriage ceremony. We are here today to encourage, celebrate and support the covenant these two people Dani and Tony are going to make and to share in the joy that they experience as they pledge their love and commitment to each other. We rejoice in the manner God has led them to each other and got them to the place where they now stand." He turns to Toby now, "Toby, do you take this beautiful woman next to you to be your wedded wife? Do you promise to love her, comfort her, honor and keep her in sickness and in health, remaining faithful to her as long as you both shall live?"
Toby couldn't look any happier as he says his vows, "I do!"
The preacher turns to me now, "Dani, do you take this great man next to you to be your wedded husband? Do you promise to love him, comfort him, honor and keep him in sickness and in health, remaining faithful to him as long as you both shall live?"
I feel the giddiness radiating off of me, "I do!" I finally say, seeing the sparkle in Toby's eyes.
"Toby, you may kiss the bride!"
