The Light

Kai POV

I set the wine glass on a nearby table and ushered orders. " Lock down all doors, I don't want her running into the wood." I pointed to three vampires, " Gen, Mali, Bestil you're coming with me to find her." They nodded and stepped forward, I gave them each a hard stare, " Don't under any circumstances kill her. Just immobilize her with the least amount of damage possible." They all gave toothy grins, eyes flashing different hues of ruby. Gen and Bestil took off in the direction that insolent girl ran. Mali looked back at me before setting off after them, everyone else in the room speed off to complete their orders. I stayed back and moved toward the wall behind the small bar. I pressed a wooden plank in the wall and it swung open with a creak. " Now little girl, where did you go?" I closed my eyes and could mentally feel all my vampires however one stood out. It was moving erratically and somewhat in circles, I smirked. " There you are." With that I speed off through the musty corridor in the wall and exited in a dark hallway with French paintings on the walls. 

In another hall, a few strides away, there was a shout and crash. " Get the damn girl already!" A frustrated Mali shouted with her accented voice. " I'm trying," Bestil said struggling, he must be the one trying to keep the girl down. There was a small laugh then another crash and loud curse. " I'm going to rip her heart out!" I suppose that was my cue, I casually walked down the hall with my hands in my pant pockets. Mali was holding a torn Gen by her arms and Bestil looked like he'd been put through the wringer. I raised a brow at the panting figure standing before Bestil with her back to me. " I  suggest you back down now Little one." She spun at my voice, I was taken back for a moment. She looked different than before, more wild and almost as if she transformed into a different person. " I suggest you let me out of this prison so I can live my life as I please," she snapped with a harsh tone.

I laughed low, " I'll tell you what, you fight me and if you win you leave and if not . . .", I lifted my bright green eyes to her bright red ones staring intensely. She hesitated by my sudden attention and clenched her hands. " You will stay and obey me, you will become a proper member of this clan." I took a challenging step forward, gazing down at her trembling form. I could see the conflict in her eyes, Fear then Pride. Her breathing slowed and she closed her eyes, " Alright . . . " I could see the fight slowly drain from her however because of her outstretched fangs ever red irises I knew she was still needing blood. Mali came behind her and grabbed her wrists holding them together. She stayed still her head lowered. " Take her to her room and leave blood in there as well, I'd rather not fight a starving newborn." Mali nodded and spun her around and lead her away leaving Gen and Bastil. " She is strong for being so young.", he commeted looking at me with round blue eyes. Gen growled, " More like a pain in the A-", I growled low. " Watch your mouth. The girl- Renee doses't know or ever wanted this life. It's instinct to act hostile in situations such as this." She lowered her gaze, " I'm sorry."

I crossed my arms over my chest, " Just clean this up and", I turned to Bastil, " Inform the others of this little fight." He nodded and speed off leaving a small whooshing sound. I sighed walking away from a fuming Gen. My thoughts were clouded with images of her face and what was to come. I growled low, I can't let her defeat me though it was highly impossible. She did have a bite. . .

I rounded a corner and entered a empty room with white sheets covering the furniture scattered about. I closed my eyes reaching out with my gift. I could sense the other vampires but I honed in on Renee's energy. It was black and blue, thrashing like a wild animal which made something twist in my stomach. I entered her head and was instantly blinded by a horrible golden light. I gritted my teeth trying to push past it, '' Stay away from her", a voice echoed in the light. An unknown force threw me backward and a figure moved in front of me, grey and cyan eyes glared down. I gasped and opened my eyes blinking in reality. " What the hell?" I ran a hand through my hair. That has never happened before...

I need to know what that was.. I speed out of the room to the outside of her door. I pounded on the wood with just the need to know what was in her head. " Go away!'' I heard her yell. Damn.. I don't care if she tries to bite my head off, I snapped the knob off the door and stormed inside. Renee was sitting on the edge of her bed, her head lowered. " I said . . . GO AWAY!'' She growled, voice seeming strained. I neared her and kneeled to be at her height. " Just go, I'm not feeling to hot and i'd rather not see your sickening face." I chuckled low, she really did like me? " I just figured you had refused to eat anything soo", she cut me off with a small snarl. " If you're only here to lecture me then you're wasting your time", her honey eyes glowed with fervor. 

" Glad to see i'm welcomed," I snorted and grabbed her chin, staring into those strange eyes. I tried to look deeper, into her heart, her soul. Something flickered there, my nails digging into her perfect skin. " What are you Little one?"

" Non of your f#$%*** business"! Renee pushed me away from her knocking me into her vanity, a thud resounding in his bones. " Stay away unless of course you want to fight now?" Challenge laced those words as she stood. She really did want to die... So why aren't I ripping her to shreds? " I don't make habit of breaking women's bones until they cry for mercy but if you're into that sort of thing..?" My voice was sensual yet had a ring that promised pain to whomever wanted it. She had blanched slightly and turned her back to me a silent dismissal. " See you in a few hours then." I left and closed the door with a click. 

" Now for answers," I strode with a purpose to the grand library underneath the mansion.

I know this sucks but * shrug shrug * XD

I'm still alive to make ya'll know AND the next chapter should be uploaded when my lazy butt decides to sit down and type legible words :3
