annelise
"the kind of smile that would be cruel not to kiss" -atticusshe had entered the train and the boy whom she bumped into disappeared with two boys who looks like boulders.
annelise awkwardly skimmed through people and nearly fell as they ran past her. 'now i regret not finding samuel after' she thought to herself.
she looked through every compartment window and saw most were full. her shoes rubbed along the burgundy carpet as she skimmed past every full compartment, nervously looking for an empty one.
"watch out!" a boy yelled. annelise's head looked up and saw that a boy who was slightly taller than her, had round spectacles rested on the bridge of his nose and a lightning bolt scar on his forehead. he was fairly skinny, but he fitted it well. his hair was a mess, it looked like he didn't even bother trying to look decent for his first day. she tried to avoid staring at his scar and focused at his emerald orbs that were glowing. then, she noticed that she was falling backwards and felt the air behind her fly upwards bringing her hair into her face and legs tumbling over each other.
the boy had landed on top of her with his glasses out of his face and hair messier than before, which didn't make any sense to annelise as it was a large mess. her ribs started to ache and the boy got up immediately, apologizing as he squinted, sitting down on the floor, trying to find his glasses.
"i'm so sorry, it was--er--my fault." he hesitated, he fixed his hair before his green eyes were glued to the ground and not annelise. she propped her self up using her elbows, she moved her brunette hair out of the way and stared at the boy for a moment. 'he looks quite familiar doesn't he?' annelise thought to her self as she scrunched her eyebrows together and tilted her head a bit to get a memory of who he is.
"harry potter?" she mumbled and the boy's head shot up.
"yes?" he said unsure.
"you're harry potter." she repeated his name twice to see that he got slightly annoyed.
"yeah... that's me." he dully said and looked down again.
annelise cringed at her first impression to "The Boy Who Lived" and wanted to rewind time and fix what she had just said. she twisted her body and found that his glasses were a couple inches away. she reached over and grabbed the temples of it, not touching the lenses. luckily, they weren't scratched nor cracked, just slightly wider. she handed him his glasses and he inspected it for a moment before grabbed his wand out of his pocket and murmuring, "oculus reparo." and his temples were his head size and he pushed them back on his nose.
"thanks." he whispered and got up, patting any dirt off his clothing.
"no problem." annelise replied. harry reached his hand out and annelise didn't hesitate to hold onto it. he pulled her up and she fixed her clothing as well.
"er--what was your name again?" harry awkwardly rubbed his nape and looked out the window.
"never said it, potter." annelise chuckled and saw a large grin form on harry's flawless face. her heart skipped a beat and she said to herself, 'annelise you barely know the boy...stop!'
"ah...right. what is your name?" harry asked putting his hands behind his back, looking at annelise. his sharp green eyes staring into her brown ones. the reflection of the light shining through the windows wasn't helping anything, instead it made annelise more nervous.
"c-collins. annelise collins." she held her hand out and harry took it shaking it before letting it go and walking away. annelise blushed and she put a strand of her hair, tucked it behind her ear and smiled. she stayed in the same spot, replaying everything in her head like any normal teenage girl would do if their crush said/did something charming to them.
