"Let's go then," Jack led me to his car and we drove away from the apartment. "I told Harley I'd meet her on her mission. I'm pretty sure we can set off a few explosives," Jack nudged my side, presumably trying to get me to smile. I cracked a small smile and looked at him with sincere eyes.

"Thanks, Jack," I sunk a bit deeper into the seat of his car and looked at my hair. It was a complete mess. I just realized I had been in the same outfit for two days already and I started to feel slightly filthy. We arrived at a large Mansion and saw Harley making a deal with some sketchy guy on the side of the house. Harley took the briefcase and walked into the large house. She didn't look like herself. She was wearing an elegant black gown with black strappy wedges and she quickly slipped on a black wig. Jack pulled something out of the back and handed it to me.

"Hurry up and get dressed. When you get inside the Manor, you will distract Bruce Wayne while Harley places the explosives and laughing gas. I've notified her to wait for your entrance," I nodded and started getting dressed as best I could inside the car. Jack respectively turned his head away and refused to watch me. I slipped on the blue gown and sandals then slipped on the wig. I quickly did my makeup and walked out of the car towards the luxurious mansion. Harley was waiting for me and we went in together. Harley was meant to stay in the shadows as I seduced Bruce and distracted him. We walked into the room and there was a very large group of people talking, laughing, and just enjoying themselves. I felt uncomfortable in the crowd. I was always socially awkward and never liked large groups of people. I was too afraid of being judged. I looked around for Bruce and spotted him making small talk but trying to get out of the crowd. I walked over to him and tapped on his shoulder.

"Hi, excuse me, but has anyone named Vanessa Morita come through here looking for an Abigail?" I asked in a voice that sounded nothing like my own. It was much softer and lighter. I sounded like a scared puppy.

"No, I'm very sorry," he stated with sincere eyes. I decided to put some of my lying skills to use.

"This is not good. This is so not good!" I muttered to myself. I made it loud enough so he could hear.

"Is something wrong?" Bruce asked.

"My friend Vanessa said she would be here at six and now it's eight and she's not here. She said someone was after her and if she didn't come by seven that I should just leave but I don't know what happened to her and I'm so worried," I ranted. It must've been convincing because Bruce put his hand on my shoulder and wiped a tear that I made fall out of my eye.

"It's okay, we're going to find your friend. I'm sure that she's alright, but if she isn't I know someone who will help. Just please stay calm. A pretty girl like you shouldn't cry," he grabbed my hand and led me to an empty room. "Now go over the details. Do you know where your friend was before she was supposed to come here?"

"Vanessa said she would be at her house, but I've called the number several times. If she was home, she would answer. It wouldn't matter if she was asleep because that girl can't sleep when there's any noise," I sighed.

"Do you know who was after her?" I felt a bit bad for Bruce. He was being manipulated into thinking that someone was captured. I know I'd probably fall for it too.

"I think it might be her ex-boyfriend or her father. They're both horrible people. She never specified it to me, though. I respected her privacy and let it go but I shouldn't have. I'm so stupid!" I let out a few tears and Bruce hugged me as I cried into his shoulder. I felt my phone buzz in my purse and quickly grabbed it.

You have a minute to get out of there until the explosion

"Oh thank the heavens! She's downstairs and just needs me to take her home," I grabbed my stuff and ran out of the room but Bruce grabs my wrist and stops me.

"Are you sure you don't want to stay?"

"Parties aren't my thing. I came here for Vanessa. Now that she's not going to be coming up, I can take her home and enjoy a good book at home in my warm bed," I smiled.

"I could take you home if you want," Bruce was still holding onto my hand.

"That's really okay. It's not like I've been drinking. I can-" my words were cut off by screams and a large explosion. I kneeled on the ground and covered my ears. Bruce grabbed my arm and gently dragged me into a secret room. We were only at the entrance and I still had ringing in my ears. I didn't even get to see the colors of the fire! What a letdown.

"Abigail?" Bruce held my chin with his hand. "Are you alright?" I gave a nod and we walked further down to the large room.

"What is this place?" I asked looking around. I saw a large Bat symbol on the floor. "Holy shit,"

Hello, Lovelies!

Ugh, I feel like it's been so long since I've updated and I hate it. I want to get to the part I really like but if I do then I feel like the story will run out of chapters way too soon and I won't be able to get another one out there for like three months.

Totally off topic here but I've been loving Steven Universe and have binge watched the entire thing this weekend. Its just so good *_*

Thanks again for reading this story! All votes, comments, and shares are appreciated (unless you're being extremely negative and not at all constructive then just get out. The door looks like an 'x' or back button. Just get out of here rn please. K thanks).
