This is a reminder to eat, to take your medication, to sleep on time, to talk to someone, to clean your room, to shower. But we know it isn't as easy as that, so this is a reminder to push and make yourself do these things. Self-care can be THE hardest thing sometimes and thats okay. It's not your fault. You owe yourself love but don't feel it like a debt, your body is patient, your mind is your friend(believe it or not), and like doing math, the more you practice taking care of yourself the easier it gets. Start small and focus on having three meals a day, start journaling your progress instead of your failures, be vocal about your efforts with pride. The world isn't cold, there are so many of us who understand completely how depression is like a nostalgic childhood memory, how anxiety is a raging ocean and what the stillness of self destruction is like. And that's how you know to trust me when i say, focus on self-care one step at a time, push when you don't want to. This is a reminder that it's okay to sometimes mot even want to get better anymore out of exhaustion of self destructive dispositions. Its not okay to let that rule you when you're worth SO much so push past it and have some breakfast, do some homework, take care of you.
