Chapter 22

Mason's POV

I was walking to my locker and Melanie was at my locker just waiting for me. She was on her phone and she was texting somebody. She looked sad and it hurt me.

"What's wrong, princess?" I asked and she hugged me.

"I heard that you and your squad are going on a 5 month trip to California." She said and my eyes widen. Who told her?

"Umm... where did you heard that?" I asked.

"I was going to tell you that I was going to the mall after school and when I went you were talking with everybody. You guys were talking about how excited you were to see this girl named Bella and how your gonna have so much fun. I then got the idea that if you were going than I should go too and we can all have even more fun." She said and I pulled her away from me.

"It's too late for you to ask if you can go because we already bought the beach house and we already bought our plane tickets." I said and she started to cry.

"Why are you getting so distanced from me?" She asked.

"Because your getting to clingy and you think that whatever I do, you can do. You also think that I should buy you whatever you want even if I don't have the money for it even though I do have the money. I want to see my best friend since I was 2 years old. I miss her and nothing is going to change my mind from going on the trip." I said and I was pissed now. "Melanie, I think we should break up."

"I hate you so much and I wish that I never met you. You go be happy with her and I hope you die." She said and walked away moving her hips to make it look like she has a butt.

"Finally she's gone." I heard David say.

"Yeah, I've been wanting to break up with her since Bella wasn't mad at me anymore." I said and opened my locker. I grabbed my books and closed my locker.

"Yeah, well do you know how much we've been dying for you to break up with her." Noah said standing next to David.

"That bad?" I said

"Oh yeah." Noah said and David laughed looking at his phone.

"Who are you texting?" Makayla asked and she tried to put her hand on David's arm but he took a step back.

"Nobody and your dating Matt so nobody wants you anymore." He said and her mouth was opened wide. "Close your mouth before a fly goes in it." She rolled her eyes and walked away.

"What's up with you?" I asked.

"Nothing." David said.

"Something is wrong if your really pissed right now." Noah said.

"Just don't worry about it." David said.

"Dude, you need to calm down. What's happening?" I asked and he sighed.

"Bella is not having a good day and it kills me." He said and my heart broke.

"I haven't talked to her in a while." Noah said.

"That's because you never bothered to call or text her and she gets really sad." I said and remembered when she called me saying that she feels like he doesn't like her anymore.
