I woke up, already excited for the day ahead.
It was June 17th, the day I and my brother were born, seventeen years earlier, I looked at my alarm clock, which read 9:47am I pushed off my blankets and forced myself to get up.
I slid on a pair of ripped skinny jeans and a black and white stripped tank. It was a clause and relatively chilly day for the summertime in Tokyo, for a second I almost felt normal but
I am not a normal teenage girl, I reminded myself before I headed downstairs as I approached the steps I could see my three closest friends hoping to surprise me.
They looked up and smiled, when they saw me.
              "HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIRAI"
they all yelled. One of my friends, Ken jumped and ran up and hugged me. "I feel so old !" he said. "I can't believe you're seventeen !" We had been friends since we were two, and we're basically inseparable. "You feel old ?"
I laughed. "You're only sixteen,sophomore"
"Junior!" he corrected with a bright smile.
My other friends get up and handed me some envelopes. "Guys, you know I don't like gifts"
I moaned secretly happy and curios.
"Well, too bad Baka"  they're for us too! "Shh!"
Hide shushed. "Don't give it away!" Hurry and open it, Mi, "why?! what it is ?!" I questioned.
"We don't know, the directors gave it to us"
••••••••••••••••••~
Sighing and plopping the ground, I felt my mind racing with thoughts about what could possibly be in the envelopes. They all sat down, staring at me with anticipation. I decided that I should take my time opening the envelopes, much to Ken's annoyance. "Give me those!!" he yelled and grabbed them out of my hands.
He ripped them open, revealing a few scraps of paper. "What is it ?!" Numbers absorbed the paper, "ew,math" he handed me the papers.
"They're tickets for something" I muttered
"Guys! I know what these are!" "What ?!" they all said in unison. "We're going to a singing !@ " I screamed, all of them joined in. "BE QUIET!" my mom yelled, "you're giving me a headache" This is almost as bad as that "One Direction concert in 2012" My brother walked downstairs, coffee in hand. "Oh, God that was terrifying" Touka agreed after not talking at all.
"Touka! don't you know what it means ?" I asked, "yeah I'm just not that excited to get fawned over by bunch of fans"  "what ?, why not?!" Ken asked. "Just kidding, that sounds totally fun!!" Touka said and jumped up and down. We all joined in jumping and cheering.
We get a singing, "we get a singing"

It was around noon when a limo showed up in my driveway. I heard a honk from the outside and ran to the window, saying "who the heck would be honking when they're in a neighbor hood?" Don't they know how ru- "what ?!" Hide questioned when I stopped talking and my eyes widened in shock. "Guys ! we got a limo ! "Guys!" suddenly Hide and I were joined by Ken and Touka, who were both freaking out.
Yeah, Mr.Arima hired a limo to take you guys to Union Station! my brother informed. "What?!" why didn't you tell us ? "Guys we're officially famous. "Have fun girls" my brother said, practically pushing us out of the door.
We were all still trying to comprehend what was happening, when the limo drive waved to us. "Well, let's go!!" I said excitedly. We all rushed to get a seat. As we got inside, I noticed steam in the back.
