Chapter 9

Alissa's pov

I'm at the bar waiting for my martini before I check this place out there are so many there are so many guys here I just hope I don't run into anyone from my past here

"Your martini miss"

The bartender says throwing down and spinning around to help another cushions, her face is filled with all these piercings and I can't help staring, the guy she's serving is looking at me through glasses which are way too dark to be worn at night I get the sort of bad vibe able him but at the same time the dj starts calling out my stage name and I quickly gulp down the martini in one go and stagger towards his voice.

I'm preparing myself mentally for what I'm about to do while cursing the evil which made me have to go on so early in the night.

As soon as I hit the stage everything changes the music starts playing and my body moves with a mind of its own there's money raining down on me and adrenalin pumping through me the music stops and I start picking up what I've made and some guys in security uniform take over. The guy in the extra dark shades is looking at me again I can feel his eyes but I can't see him anywhere I step off the stage and so many guys are calling in my direction I mean what girl doesn't love the attention? But I just have to get out of here mr.shades is making me uncomfortable.

Opening the nearest door I'm led into a tunnel and then into a big room with a few other girls, there's tonnes and tonnes of makeup and outfits and I suddenly feel under dressed in my linger, the girls are so caught up in makeup they didn't see me walk in, right now everyone is starting at like a bear is stuck to my back seeing that I was the new girl on the block I started muttered a hello . Two blond girls with an overdose on enthusiasm come over to me and start talking the other girls just stare and whisper.

By the end of the night I made tonnes of money and two new friends Amber and Rose . I haven't seen Greg since our conversation in the office but I'm headed there with the girls to collect our cheques for the night I'm super excited and Amber and Rose as are naming all the cool spots to hang, shop and meet hot guys you'd think they met enough here. We knock on Greg's door and my heart starts its marathon run again I swallow the lump which managed to lodge itself in my throat and try to push my feelings aside and ignore how smooth is hands felt as placed the cheque in mine. I don't have to dart out this time since Amber and Rose are squealing about some party that we just had to go. Since I don't have anything back at my place to do and I don't want them to think I'm a kill joy , I'm the only one with a car so we pile into the car together and I gun the Engine to life and they direct me to the apartment they share on the other side of town. I park under a streetlight near to the house and I'm dragged out of the car before I even have time to protest, and before I know it I'm striped,dressed and pulling up to the party.

Amber and rose want to get in immediately but I want to pee so bad I run into an adjoining street to release the burden on my bladder. There's a sharp sting of pain and darkness welcomes itself.
