The young woman slammed the door shut, muttering a quick barrier spell as she heard the crashing and screaming downstairs. She looked down at the baby in her arms before walking over to the crib that lay in the middle of the room, placing the baby in it when she got to the crib.

Jessie Mutou smiled down at her younger brother before pushing a bang from his face. “I wish I could stay with you as a human, but I cannot.” She reached behind her neck and removed the locket that hung from her neck. The locket was an upside down pyramid with the Eye of Horus on it. Inside was a picture of the four members of the Mutou family.

She clutched it and closed her eyes. After a couple seconds, the locket started glowing. As the glow got brighter, the woman felt the strength she had leave her. After a couple minutes, the locket stopped glowing and the woman opened her eyes, revealing that only a little bit of life was left in them.

She bent down and clipped the necklace to her brother's neck. Once she did that, she muttered another barrier spell, hearing the door burst open behind her. Jessie turned around and glared at the man that stood in the doorway. “No matter what you try, my brother won't be the one dying tonight.” She said with confidence despite having next to no energy to fight.

The man just smirked. “We shall see about that. Avada Kedavra!”

The woman froze as she was hit by a blinding green light. She couldn't even cry out as she fell to the ground, dying along the way. The man then walked up the the crib and pointed the wand at the boy in said crib. “And now it's your turn, Yugi Mutou. Avada Kedavra!"

A/N: Well, here I am with a new story! And a Hogwarts AU at that. I hope to actually be able to make it through all seven books because I really love Harry Potter and want this story to be successful. Any who, this story will have innocent love beginning early on. However, it will start getting... heavier, should we say, when and if I reach the fifth book. Anyways, I don't have much to say. I will probably keep this as the only Author's Note unless something urgent needs to be said or something needs to be cleared up. Anyways, thanks for reading the prologue! See you in the next chapter!
