Yugi looked up from his book as there was a tap against his window. He looked over and saw Slifer with a letter attached to his leg. Seeing a certain seal, his eyes widened and he jumped up to open up to window, letting Slifer fly to his desk and stand on it.

Yugi walked over and detached the letter from Slifer's leg. He reached to the nearby bowl filled with owl treats before giving one to the owl with a smile. "Here, Slifer. Thank you." The owl hooted before flying to the little perch hanging in the corner of Yugi's room and cuddling into himself to take a nap.

Yugi smiled and then turned his attention back to the letter in his hand. He beamed when he saw the red seal with the Hogwarts Coat of Arms. He flipped it open and saw neat, black lettering that formed to make beautiful, curvy letters.

The teen let out a tiny squeal of excitement and went over to his desk. He opened a drawer and looked for his letter opener. Once he found it, he closed the drawer and walked over to his bed, sitting down on the comfy mattress. He used the letter opener to cut open the letter neatly before taking out the letter and reading it.

Yugi then scanned over the list of equipment before letting out a squeal. It was finally happening! He had been accepted to Hogwarts! He would finally be able to see the male he hasn't been able to speak to for a year!

Soon after Yugi and Yami had begun owling each other, and they knew each other well, Yami had asked Yugi to be his betrothed. Yugi, who had developed a crush on his friend, agreed. Soon after that, Yami had been discovered by his father and was told he couldn't talk or see Yugi again until school started. Apparently that was his fiancées punishment for not telling his parents about Yugi.

Yugi didn't mind; he had faith in Yami and he had faith in Fate. He knew that Yami wouldn't betray him. He also had faith in Fate that he and Yami would end up going to Hogwarts together. Some would say Yugi was optimistic, but the wizard didn't mind; after all, it was the truth.

After having a quick freak-out session, Yugi ran downstairs and through the house part of the Shop before busting into the shop. Solomon Mutou, Yugi's grandfather, jumped in surprise. Yugi smiled brightly. "Gramps! I got accepted!"

Solomon smiled. "That's great, my boy. Why don't you wait in the living room? I'll close up early and we can send a response before going shopping." Yugi nodded in reply before running upstairs to change out of his house clothes.

Once Yugi got into his room, he closed the door and walked over to his desk, setting the letter on the wooden surface. He then went to his closet and chose his outfit for the day. He decided on a black tank top, his set of two leather belts, his leather pants, and leather shoes. He quickly changed into it before going to his connected bathroom. He opened his cabinet and took out his eyeliner, quickly applying it. Once he finished, he put it back and went back out to his room. He kept his signature belt collar - which he never took off unless he showered - on his neck, but put on his studded wristbands. He quickly checked himself in the mirror before running back down and flopping on his couch, waiting for his grandfather.

Yugi sighed in exhaustion as he and his grandfather sat for lunch at the Leaky Cauldron. They had just spent the last couple hours shopping for his school year. He had gotten all the necessary books and equipment. He also got fitted for his robes and was told they would be delivered within a few days. He decided against getting a new owl or any other pet; he was perfectly content with Slifer.

He looked around as his grandfather ordered their food. He froze as he spotted a pair of kids his age who looked a lot like Bakura and Marik Sennen, Yami's brothers. He knew what Yami and his brothers looked like because his betrothed had sent him a photo of their family while they were on vacation in Egypt. He wondered if these two knew Yami.

He turned to his grandfather. "Hey Gramps? Can I go use the restroom?" He put on an innocent face. "I kinda forgot to go before we left the house..."

Solomon sighed but nodded. "Go ahead. But be careful. Make sure you don't get hit by anything that will break the seals on your magic. You may have a want but until you're able to perform basics and learn to reign in your magic, I don't want it breaking."

Yugi nodded. "Thank you, Gramps. I'll be right back." With that, Yugi got up and walked to the restroom. He hid and waited until his grandfather got lost in the newspaper before making his way to the pair of pre-teens he wished to talk to.

As soon as he reached them, he got nervous. "U-Um... Ex-Excuse me?" He asked, stuttering. The two looked at him and he blushed a bit, not used to speaking to others and annoyed at his stuttering. "I-I was w-wondering..." He took a deep breath in hope it would calm his stuttering. "D-Do you happen to know B-Bakura and Marik Sennen?" He asked.

The one that looked like Bakura blinked in surprise. "How do you know Bakura?" The other gave him a look. "And Marik."

Yugi gulped. "U-Um... Let me introduce m-myself... I'm Y-Yugi Mutou..."

The Marik look-alike jumped up suddenly, scaring Yugi. "Ah! You're the one Yami was telling us about!" He held out a hand with a smile. "I'm Malik. I'm Marik's betrothed." Yugi shyly took the hand and shook it. Malik beamed and motioned to the white-haired male. "That's Ryou; he's my brother and Bakura's fiancée." Malik walked over and draped an arm around Yugi's shoulder. "There's another couple but they're in America at the moment." He then winked. "Hope we can become good friends!"

Yugi blinked in surprise. "F-Friends...?" He then looked away with a blush. "T-The only friend I've ever h-had is Yami..."

Ryou smiled and got up to go to Yugi's other side. "Not anymore. We have to stick together; after all the Sennens can't always protect us. We have to protect each other." Malik and Ryou then hugged Yugi, causing the boy to blush.

"O-Okay..." He then saw Solomon look up. "I-I should go... Gramps doesn't know I've been talking to Y-Yami and he doesn't like me being around people..." He then took out an Egyptian box and handed it to the two. "If you see Yami before school starts can you give this to him? I-I was cleaning and found it... He'll understand when he gets it..." Yugi pushed the box into Ryou's arms. "T-Thank you. See you soon." He then ran off with a smile, leaving behind two confused wizards.

Yugi groaned as his body hit the mattress. He was worn out from the day. However it was a good day; he got his Hogwarts letter, gone to Diagon Alley for the first time, and made new friends. He was definitely looking forward to that year.

With a smile, Yugi fell into a peaceful sleep.
