To say my feet throbbed would be an understatement. Damn the wedges.

The idea of wearing wedges had  horribly failed because of that Rachel,

'Luke let's not waste time and hurry back home I have important things to do'  Rachel had said when Luke offered to drop me.

Cunning bit#*.

Unfortunately Luke lived in a joint family, which meant Rachel lived with him and had to agree with her cousin.

"You'll be alright?"He had asked,  I just nodded in return not trusting my voice.

Did he care?  Maybe I was just reading too much, maybe he was just looking out for me.

Maybe he liked me too??

This was so confusing. Why do I have to overthink about such small things.
Okay that's it no overthinking.

The car roared to life as Luke accelerated it and then zoomed
Out of sight without sparing another glance, I just stared into space with longing eyes he didn't even wave or bid farewell, maybe my hopes were too high.

I jumped back to life as I heard a buzzing sound. Oh my phone.

What if it's Luke?
But he didn't have my number.
what if he took it from someone and wants to thank me for helping him, just like it happens in books.

Maybe it's just Lilly and wants to know about the whereabouts.

Sliding my hand inside the pocket I took out my phone and saw 'samsung' flashing on the screen.

"Oh shit."I cursed, How am I suppose to call Lilly now, what a wonderful time too switch off.

My luck.

Having no other option I started walking to my house in those killer shoes.

My feet felt sore from twisting again and again it felt like the time had stopped because of the pace I was walking, It couldn't be even compared to a tortoise.

I let out a sigh as I saw the familiar small stone brick house at the end of the lane.

As I walked closer to my house I could see Light peek out through the small hole of the window.

Did I forget to turn off the light?

But I remembered switching it of.

so who can, oh no.

No,

No.

My pace quickened a little, my heart beating faster as I took each step, ,my fingers crossed by my sides.
'It's not what I am thinking.'

It's not what I am thinking'. I kept chanting in my head .

But all my hope crashed as I saw the similar red Mercedes parked in front of my lawn.
