Old Friends

I couldn't sleep last night, thoughts raced through my mind. Not only did Levi give me this key, he said that I'm not working today. I decided to go to town and see some friends. I walked into town and made my way to my old hangout. Today was a beautiful day, it was nice and warm as the sun hit my skin. I finally got to an abandoned building and memories of my times here rushed back to me.

~Flashback~

I laid on the roof, bathing in the morning sun. Armin's stretched out next to me, puring softly. Mikasa's sitting on my other side humming a quiet song. We're a family.

"Eren."

"Yes, Armin."

"Can we always be together like this?"

"I promise we will. Forever."

~End flashback~

Guess I never did keep that promise. I climbed the fire escape and laid on the sunny roof. It was so calm that I drifted to sleep.

"Hmm hmm hm hm hm"

"Hey Mikasa." I lazily opened my eyes.

"So, you staying?"

"Only for today." She and Armin both looked disappointed.

"Why do you stay with him?" Armin sounded upset. I held the key in my hand.

"I love him." Armin looked upset, yet happy for me at the same time. Mikasa seemed worried. "Don't worry, I'll still visit you guys. What do you think I was doing here?"

"Sleeping." Armin giggled. Me and Mikasa burst out laughing, it's surprising that Armin made a joke. A good one at that.

"When was the last time you made a joke?" Mikasa laughed.

"I can make jokes!" Armin puffed his cheeks. I missed this, well not to much. We continued to talk until it was nearly sunset.

"I better go guys."

"Aww. Bye," Armin wined.

"One thing before you go Eren."

"Yeah, Mikasa?"

"Does he love you too?" I squeezed the key in my hand and smiled.

"Yes."
