Not broken by your own blood curdling screams
After the dreams
That force you to again replay
that very very fateful day
Darling you wish for unblemished wrists
Free of the scars you made out of fear
Stained by tears
That drop on the canvas of your skin
But you've stopped letting anyone in
Darling you wish for one genuine smile
Not the ones you fake for your friends
But means justify ends
That lying to them is keeping them safe
From the truth of you becoming this wraith
Darling you only wish to forget
That one moment when life faded away
In a day
That changed your being for ever
And made love again a possibility never
