I nod. As Athena walks back to the table to do her "homework", I take my part on the plan. I notice Nash hasn't sat down. I sit down on the couch and ask him to sit down, too. He looks at me like a maniac. I say one word: please? He sighs dramatically and plops down next to me with a smile.

"Yes?" Nash says, obviously trying hard to 'impress' me. I ask him kindly to repeat his ramble slowly to me, batting my eyelashes occasionally. That seemed to do the trick. He sighed.

"I said: 'About what? Certainly not liking Milly, cause I don't, so you can't be talking about Milly, because she's right there, and I should stop talking but I can't because..." He took a deep breath and continued. "Im so nervous that you'll find out...' Do I have to keep going? Or do you remember the rest...?" Nash asked bashfully.

I looked at him kindly, and shook my head. I thanked him and gave him a hug. I could feel his tense muscles relax, then without hesitation, he hugged me back. I smiled and at that moment, Athena 'finished her homework'. She came over and tried to hug him from behind, but changed her mind. She then went to pat his shoulder, hesitated, then pat his head. "...thanks, I guess..." She murmured. We all smiled.

As we pulled away from our embrace, I saw the clock on the wall.
"Shoot! It's past dinner!!!" And with that I jumped out the door snagging a snack for the way back (fruit snacks). I got there about three minuets later.

Nash's Point Of View

Why did I let her trick me into that??? Well... It could be the eyes. She knows I can't resist her eyes... She's just so dang cute! I can't wait to see her again...
I got up and grabbed some fruit snacks, shaking my head. I looked at Athena.
"Thanks for not telling her. I really appreciate it. I... I can't thank you enough." And with that, I put down my fruit snacks, and gave Athena a hug, soaking her shoulder with my tears. She hugged back, just like we used to. I said two words: Im sorry.
She pulled away and looked into my eyes. She was also crying, but as I searched her face, we were crying for different reasons. I was crying of happiness, however, Athena crying of loss.
