Phone call home

Prologue

Daniel:

"Where to Chenzy" I asked my baby girl in the back seat and she started to think.

"McDonald's Daddy!" she said and giggled.

Her little body wiggled in the back seat and she played with her Barbie doll.

I looked at the busy road In front of me and turned into the big McDonald's off the road and parked next to a small red car.

"Okay Chenzy get unbuckled" I told my girl and she tugged at the belt then pushed the little red button.

The belt unbuckled and she slid to open the door.

She popped open the door and I picked her up when she stepped out.

Her little blond hair hit my face and she pulled it back and slipped it into a ponytail.

I pushed open the door and put Chenzy on the floor.

"Daddy I want a cheeseburger please" she said and held my hand.

I walked up to the lady at the counter and she smiled at Chenzy.

"Welcome to McDonald's what can I get you?" the lady asked me and I looked up at the menu.

"She'll have the kids meal cheeseburger with small fri and a small drink, and ill have a quarter pounder with cheese with large fri and medium drink" I said and the lady at the counter pushed buttons on the key pad.

I payed and we got are order then sat down.

"Daddy look at my toy"

"Chenzy eat first then you can play with it"

"Okay daddy"

She put the toy in the box and started eating her burger.

I heard my phone ring and looked at the name.

"Yes.. Jaclyn" I said to my ex wife on the phone.

"You were suppose to take Chenzy to my place its now my week!" she yelled at me over the phone.

"You know Jaclyn she actually got hungry on the way there so we stopped for dinner"

"Put her on the phone now!"

I looked at Chenzy and handed her the phone.

"Mommy?" she said confused and looked at me.

"Hey sweetie I thought you were coming to see me"

"I got hungry mommy"

"Okay then but I hope you get here soon Phil got you a present"

"Okay mommy" she replied

"Give daddy back the phone" I heard Jaclyn say sternly.

I was handed back the phone and felt my heart rate increase and my face turn red in anger.

"Daniel get her here soon!"

"You know what Jaclyn I don't have to deal with your....don't tell me what to do" I said and Chenzy looked at me as she ate her cheeseburger.

"What ever Daniel" she said and hung up.

I slammed the phone and Chenzy looked up at me scared.

"What's wrong daddy?" she asked me and I gave a small smile and she smiled.

"You need to get to Moms house" I said and we left for the car.

It was about a hour and Chenzy fell asleep in the back seat.

I picked her up out of the back grabbed her bag and doll then walked to the front door of my ex wife's house and ran the door bell.

Jaclyn open the door Ignored me and snatched my baby girl from my arms and grabbed Chenzy's bag from my hand.

She motioned her hand to tell me to leave.

I tried to kiss Chenzys forehead but Jaclyn pulled her away and walked into the house.

"Goodbye Chenzy" I said and walked back to my car down the drive way.

A tear ran down my face when I looked at Chenzy through the large window in the living room being held by Jaclyn's new husband Phil.

I started the car and left for the high way. Then I turned on the radio and made it really loud.

In a split second a bright light filled my car and I was blinded.

"Shit!" I yelled and I felt my car get hit in the side and my head hit the window.

The car flipped and the windows shattered.

Glass flew past my face scratching my skin on my face arms and legs.

The car was spinning on the roof and my belt gave out and my body hit the ceiling and pain sprang up my back.

The stopped moving my body limped down and I couldn't move my legs.

The first thing I could think of was to call Chenzy.

I slowly reached down to my pocket for my phone.

I dialed Jaclyn's home phone that I knew Chenzy would answer knowing its me.

I waited for the phone to pick up.

My head went dizzy and things began to turn black.

"Daddy?" Chenzy answered and I smiled.

"Yes, Chenzy it's me"

"Daddy why did you leave so quickly with out saying goodbye?"

"Chenzy.." I said and then I saw blood spread across the car roof where I laid.

Things began to spin and I felt my heart slow.

"I wanted to tell you I love you" I said and I heard her giggle.

"I love you too daddy" she replied and made a kiss sound over the phone and then everything went black and the sound deceased and it was silent.

I then saw flashed of red and white lights.

Then it was gone.
