Chapter 15 | Carry

Hey guys! I'm trying really hard to stay with the schedule! I really hope I won't miss a day, but again if I did, I would make it up in the next day! Good luck in school!

~Bee's POV~

Life out here felt different. I was finally out of the old, icky cave that creeped me out! I've never loved nature as much as today. You can tell I was more apprising than the rest. Everyone looked at me weird. Hey! I'm sorry I can't be myself! I hop on rocks and shuffle through bushes. Nature!

There was a set of rocks placed neatly like hop-scotch. So guess what i did? I played hop-scotch! I started at the first rock and hopped my way to the last. These rocks were pretty small so I should call them large pebbles! I count along the rocks I jump over.

1, 2, 3, 4, 5........

And the last rock. Man was it huge. I didn't expect it to be this large. But I didn't notice. I jumped over the rock. My foot was sliding off. But eventually hit it on the ground. But my foot landed in a weird position. I didn't trip or fall so that's a plus, I didn't embarrass myself.

I continue on and lean on my left foot. Ow. Why does it hurt so much. I try to mostly walk on my right leg but every time I lift it up, my left leg hurts as hell. I slow down but continue to walk and act like nothing happened. It really did hurt. Like really. I try not to grunt but one step hurts my whole body. The boys start to pass me and walk faster. I wanted to say slow down, but that would cause them to worry. After what happened, I didn't want them to worry. I continue to ache my foot the way down. While walking a minute in, I see my shoe-lace untied. Maybe this could be the time where I can take a break. Phew! I yelled at the boys to wait for me. They respected my command and waited.

Once I finished tying my lace, I look up and Sean's back is towards me. He was in front of me. He was knelt down, his back facing me. He arms were out to the side. He was looking straight. As much as I was confused, everyone else was. I look at him below and asked him.

"W-what are you doing?"

And of course, here comes the blushing. I wasn't sure what he was doing. But I noticed this position. It was familiar. It was in a position where you would get on someone for a piggy-back. He answered.

"I'm not going to ignore the fact that you're grunting and hopping in pain. We're going to the hospital anyways, I mean look at our scars. Don't make the ankle worse and just go on my back."

I shook. I look at him strangely. He noticed?!? And I'm going on his back?! My face exploded with red pellets. Maybe even a little purple.

"U-uh I'm ok! What are you talking about?! I'm fine!"

He doesn't look back at me, he keeps looking straight.

"Just get on, you're hurt, I get that. Getting on my back isn't the hardest thing in the world."

I'm still confused.

"N-no! B-besides, I'm heavy."

He shakes his hair while answering.

"Just get on my back!"

I slowly put my arm around his neck and my legs around his waist. He grabs my legs. OH GOD. My arms curl up around his neck. I was worried, I felt tense.

"Gosh, you're heavier than you look!"

I giggle and pout. Thanks? Sean starts to walk and Jordan, Zach, and Joe follow. They start to continue their conversation about each other's stories. I didn't bother to listen.

My body soon felt relaxed. My foot was in less pain. I felt the same feeling from the day I had a nightmare. I felt more attracted towards him. Even though I know I can't. I love him. And I want the best out of him, to be with the best person. I'm useless after all. I mean, exhibit A! I'm on his back because my foot is in pain.... But I don't want to think that. I want to relax. I want to treasure this moment. This is the last thing that could be amazing with him before he finds someone else.

My head lays on his neck. I sniff his hair. It smells the same way from awhile ago. Oh yeah. Why did I grab his hair? I remember when we played hide and seek together..... His hair... But that's a story for another time. But it does smell the same from high school.

I soon fall asleep to his back. The next thing I remember is that I woke up in my bed, at the cube house. Whoever brought me here, thanks! I shift my body to the left and see the other beds blankets held up higher. It was Sean. I didn't know if he was asleep or not so I didn't want to shout anything to him. Instead, I went back to sleep.

~Sean's POV~

The more we walk, I hear her grunt. Do the other guys not hear it? Or was it just me? I take a look back and see Bee mainly paying attention to her left foot and walking. She seemed like she was in pain every time her left foot landed on the ground. I decide to ignore her. But she calls out on us and told us to wait. She needed to tie her lace, I guess. I look around her left foot and see a big purple bruise on her ankle. That must've hurt..... I decide to just go in front of her, I mean, she can't walk. I squat down to one knee, and face my back towards her. She couldn't see me as she was facing down. I heard a few pebbles move behind me.

"W-what are you doing?"

I told her everything I saw and heard. She looked at me suspiciously and confused. I didn't want to see her in pain. She kept on rejecting my request. But I manage to get HeyImBee on my back. She was heavy, but it wasn't a challenge. I signaled Jordan, Zach, and Joe her ankle. They all nod in unison. We decide to walk forward until we make it home. Her legs wrap my waist and as her arms wrap around my neck. Luckily she wasn't a choker. The boys and I continue to walk down on what happened between us while we were gone. I can hear Bee breathing heavily until later on. She was relaxed. Her foot was really in pain.

Wait a minute! I remember this part. I remember back in high school.... Bee tripped and her foot was in pain. But instead of me going up to her and picking her up, it was...... Will.
