Chapter 8

Everything was silent and calm, after the team had killed all of the disfigured monsters. Which the team soon learned that were they were once civilians that were somehow turned into those creatures.

Now they were walking down a trashed street. Eleanor wasn't paying any attention to anything that was happening and started to quietly sing to herself.

In a land of gods & monsters,
I was angel
Living in the garden of evil
Screwed up, scared, doing anything that I need,
Shining like a fiery beacon

The sound of glass shattering, broke Eleanor from her sing state, she looked toward where the sound came from. She saw Harley stepping out of display case, with a small purse slang over her shoulder.

"What is wrong with you people!" Rick exclaimed as his face became red.

"We're bad guys," Harley laughed "it's what we do." Eleanor laughed along with the pale woman, knowing it was true.

As they begin to walk again, Eleanor continued the song, but instead of singing she was now humming. Captain Boomerang softly walked up behind her. "You have a beautiful singing voice, love," she quietly said "thanks." before humming again.

"It only makes since your such a beauty." he said in a flirtatious way which made Eleanor rolled her eyes "you know after all of this is over we should go get a dri-"

"Yeah well I'm going to stop you there because my answer is no." she glared up at him. He begin to smile "I'll eventually change your mind, love." he winked at her, Eleanor was about to make a snarky reply but came to a stop along with the others.

"A'ya what's up with the hold up?" Eleanor said with a Brooklyn accent lacing her voice, which made many of the people around her to rise a eyebrow.

"What?" she said glaring at them. They all shook thier heads not wanting to answer her questions.

"Our body's at the top of that building." Rick said pointing towards a tall dark building.

"We get up there, pull them out of the vault they're hiding in and helicopters will come collect us off the roof."

Eleanor really wanted to piss Rick off but ignore her desires and followed the rest of the team.

Eleanor was minding her own business, when she felt a large presence behind her. She turned around and saw a reptilian face looking down at her.

"Umm who are you?"she asked slightly frowning.

"I'm Killer Croc, pretty lady." Eleanor smiled at his comment.

"I'm bombshell but call me Eleanor and you aren't to bad yourself, handsome." she winked at him. He lightly patted Eleanor on the head "I like you, little lady."

She laughed softly and took his hand in hers "I like you too, Killer." she looked up at him with a honest smile on her face.

Eleanor and Killer Croc talked all through out the journey to the creppy building. Once they arrived to their destination they separated from each other and went their own ways.

All of Flag's men were ducking behind cars me as Eleanor shook her head in disappointment "nothing but a bunch of pussys." she quietly muttered while waiting for Rick's next move.

"Waller." Rick into his communicator again. "We're about to enter the building. Get the chopper ready.'

Right as Rick got done talking, Deadshot walked forward towards the front doors with Harley trailing along with him.

"Hey!" Rick hissed, "get back here. What are you doin-"

Deadshot had grabbed the door handle to the glass door, but when he touched it the glass shattered. He held onto the handle before dropping it and walked inside.

Eleanor looked back to see that nobody was making a move. So she took it upon herself to go in after Floyd and Harley.

"Mind if we tag along?" Eleanor heard Flag ask from behind her and Deadshot.

None of them responded to question and continued to move forward. Eleanor tried to pick up any sign of human life or any life for that matter.

"Looks like we have a spot of luck, eh?" Digger spoke up looking over the monitors that viewed the building. "Be a walk in the park, easy peasy."

Eleanor was ready to slap him if he didn't shut up, but lucky for her Floyd made threat towards him "don't make me shoot you." that shut him up which Eleanor was very greatful for.

Eleanor was so pre-focused on what was happening in front of her, she didn't notice a central Platinum blonde sneak off.

She lazyly looked up and saw Harley in the elevator going up. Eleanor walked over to Rick and tapped on his shoulder "umm Rick I would advice you to look up." he followed her gaze and a shock but angered look made it's way on his face.

Harley waved at them and blow a kiss before laughing. By now everyone was running after her trying to make sure she didn't do anything stupid, while Eleanor ran behind them laughing with a huge grin on her face.

She begin to think how happy she was to actually join the team, because she never thought she would have this much fun in her life after she separated from diana.

"God I love this job."
