Chapter 17

Eleanor was blazing with anger as the rest of the squad tried to comprehend that what they saw was not real. "How could that bitch mess with my already screwed up head! I already had to go through my family dying once now she made me go through it twice!"

Diablo marched up to the Enchantress, with the squad trailing behind him. "How long have you been able to see?" the witch questioned.

"My whole life." he spat, standing a few feet away from her. "You can't have them. These are my people right here." he glanced back at the squad.

"But it's our time." the witch smirked. "The sun is setting and the magic rises. The matehumans are a sign of change."

"Lady..." Floyd stared, pointing at witch. "You are evil."

Eleanor's eyes narrowed at Enchantress as she started to talk in a ancient language. She stepped forward while everyone else started to back away.

"Bitch! If you don't stop all this hoodoo voodoo shit, I'll come up there and choke you!" Eleanor said stepping up to her.

The witch didn't bother saying anything to her and continued chant. Eleanor left eye started to twitch before aiming her shotgun at her but before she could shoot the witch she heard Flag yell to her, "DIAMOND GET DOWN!" she ducked down as a Enchantress's giant brother tried to hit her.

"WHAT THE HELL, MAN!" she screamed turning around, only for a large foot to be heading for where she was standing. She rolled out of the way, and bullets started to blaze at the thing once she was out of the way distracting him away from her.

She quickly stood up and cranked her shotgun before firing a round of bullets at him, while slowly circling she noticed that the bullets weren't doing anything, so she decided to use them to distract him long enough for her to try and get to the rest of the squad.

The titan grew tried of the team and decided a new approach was needed. So when fire started to shoot out of his hands, nobody can say that they were expecting it. They all quickly ran and hind behind the pallers again.

"We're in position." Flag spoke into his device.

"We gotta get into that corner!" He pointed to pillar that was close by. "That's where the bomb will be!"

Eleanor straightened up and got ready to volunteer sense it seemed like the logical choice. But she was quickly beaten to it.

"I'll do it." Diablo said taking a step forward. Eleanor shook her head while also stepping towards him. "No your not. It's more sense for me to do it, remember I can't really die."

He softly grabbed her shoulder and the two shared a deep sentimental moment. "I have to do this." he squeezed her shoulder. "Let me show what I'm truly am." she continued to stare him before she gave a slight nod.

He gave her one last squeeze before letting go and ran over towards the giant, blasting fire at the thing. But only a few seconds later, the titan lifted his leg and kicked Diablo away and into another building.

Eleanor erupted in anger and swung her gun over her shoulder then proceed to storm up to him with a fiery bliss of powers. He looked down at her unfrightened, but boy should he should have been.

She begin to use her powers, as a green glowing mist formed around her before shooting forward towards the titan. The mist hit him like large daggers, causing him stumble back as she marched towards him sending wave after wave of misty daggers at him.

In the back round the squad looked at each other stunned then back at Eleanor. "Did you know she could do that?" Floyd asked Flag they as continue to stare wide eye at the raging beauty. "No...no I did not." he responded still shock.

"Should we um you know...go help her?" Harley asked after a few seconds. The squad slowly agreed and run forward to help her. Just as the giant hit her with his hand sending her flying into a pillar.

Eleanor rest on the crumbled and broken pillar. She slowly closed and reopened her eyes, watching as her friands fight the titan and turned her head to look at Enchantress still creating her weapon. "I really hate that bitch but...I think I hate her brother more.

Slowly but sure enough quickly the squad were losing to the titan, due to they're heavy hitters being out of commission. Until Diablo woke up and started to transform into a giant firery skeleton.

Eleanor slowly started to sit up, wincing at a pain in her left shoulder when she sat up. She looked at the skeleton confused before realizing it was, "Diablo...?" she stood up and felt the pain in her left shoulder incense, before understanding that she dislocated her shoulder.

She hit her shoulder against the pillar she was previously laying on, her shoulder relaunched itself back in palace. Eleanor rolling her head around in a circle with a bone or two cracking in her neck as she begin to run towards her fallen teammates, while dodging Diablo and the giant fighting each other. Just as Flag received the feed from the team under them, telling Flag that the bomb was in position.

"DIABLO." Flag shouted gaining Diablo's attention. "DRIVE HIM INTO THE CORNER!" he pushed the titan to the spot where the bomb was placed.

"GET OUT OF THERE!" Eleanor screamed as Flag waiting to give the clear for the bomb to go off.

"BLOW IT!" he yelled back, struggling to keep Enchantress's brother in palace.

"WE CAN'T AND WE WON'T!" she screamed knowing it would kill him. "Blow it." Floyd whispered. Eleanor looked at him shocked before looking back at Diablo.

"Now." Flag demanded into his device.

"No! You can't do this!" Eleanor shouted at Flag but she was to late.

"EVERYBODY DOWN!" they all ducked and turned away from the explosion. Eleanor's hands flew to her ears as she waited for the explosion to be over.

Once the sound died down Eleanor quickly looked up with a small bit of hope that maybe just maybe Diablo lived through the explosion. But sadly nobody other then her could ever survive something.

Eleanor held her head low knowing she had lost a friend. Harley light grabbed her arm and pulled her up. "He died for a good cause, sweetheart." she whispered rubbing Eleanor's back. The rest of the squad begin to walk towards Enchantress.

"Your next." Deadshot said glaring at her.

Eleanor continued to allow Harley to guided her to where Enchantress stood. She finally looked and saw the witch staring directly at her smirking. Eleanor eyes narrowed to a point where she could only see Enchantress.

"I'm going to kill her...I'm going to kill her for bringing her brother back and making it so that I had to lose friend."
