MADELINE'S POV

"You really wanna drop out of school?" My mother asks me, raising her eyebrows, "yes." I spoke quietly.

"Fine. We'll have it done tomorrow."

--- 3 days later ----

I take a deep breath as I put on my beat up maroon vans and grab my guitar case and regular bag with my clothes in it.

I walk down the stairs quietly. I sigh seeing my mom asleep on the couch. Probably hung over.

I grab a sticky note and a pen and quickly write a explanation on why I'm not in my room when my mom wakes up.

I look around for a second and sigh again.

I walk toward the door and slowly open the door hoping for it not to creak.

I grin when I'm finally outside. Time for a new life.
