Sidney's POV-
I woke up alone in my bedroom. It was too damn early for Devon to be up already. I heard some commotion downstairs and decided that she must have gone downstairs. When I reached the landing, I realized that my parents had finally arrived home from their travels. I turned around quickly and ran up the stairs. I found myself in Shane's bedroom, wondering where my best friend had gone to and there she was, sleeping in my brother's arms. I nudged the side of the bed hard enough to wake both of them up with my knee. Shane sat up quickly.
“Uh... What's going on?” He asked me rubbing at his eyes with the back of his hand.
“Be thankful I'm not Mom and Dad. Get your asses up before they get up here and find Devon in your bed.” I tell him. I looked at Devon and smile at her. Devon jumped out quickly and ran to the bathroom. Shane was laughing. “What?” I asked him.
“I've been on my own for a full two years now. I'm 22 sis, what makes you think our parents think I'm still a virgin?” He chuckled.
“Virgin or not, you better be respecting our house rules, son.” Shane and I both turned toward the door and saw our father standing there with our mother peaking over his shoulder. And then the toilet flushed in our bathroom. Daddy walked to the washroom and knocked on the door. “Whoever you are, in there; please come out now.” Clearly, Daddy never got the memo from Mom that Devon was staying with us. Devon came out blushing.
“Devon?” Daddy asks. “What are you doing here on a weeknight?”
“John... I told Sidney it was fine with us.” My Mom told him.
“Are you sure?” Devon asked my mother. “I can always go back home.”
“No!” I find myself saying with Shane. Our parents looked at us like we had lost our minds.
“With that said, stay as long as you want. You've always been like one of ours anyway.” My Dad and Mom walk up to her and give her a group hug. “We'll make up a room for you if you'd like.” I saw Devon blush again and she nodded.
Shane's POV-
Now that Mom and Dad were back, I knew that I had to figure something out with regards to spending time with Devon. Sidney knowing about all of this is one thing, my parents on the other hand, I wasn't too sure if they'd condone us living under the same roof if they knew that we were having feelings for one another. Then again, she'd be living at home with her father still if the deadbeat hadn't... Ugh! I couldn't even think of the words. Well, if he hadn't done those unspeakable things to my angel. I had to get out of the house. I headed downstairs, bid Mom and Dad goodbye and exited the front of the house.
It was only mid-day and I already missed her. The girls had gone to school, seeing as there was no way our parents would have let them stay home from school; review or no review. I decided to do a bit more work on yesterday's shots. I needed to print my favourites off and then figure out how to build my spread. This montage was by far my best. I couldn't wait and finish everything off tonight if things were to go as I had planned. That would give me tomorrow time to work on things and Friday to submit everything. I finished with the printouts that I needed and headed toward the school. I parked at the end of the school's student parking lot and took my cell out. Ride with me after school. Plz. S. I text her. Within seconds, my phone buzzes I look down and can't help but smile. C u in 5. I put my phone down and decided to wait outside my car. As I leaned on the passenger side door, I saw her gorgeous strawberry blonde mane blowing in the wind. Whatever she and Sidney were talking about, it put a smile on her face. My head skipped a beat as I took in her appearance. She wore a pair of dark washed skinny jeans, an emerald green halter top that hung loosely around her waist and a great pair of black heels that made her legs look miles long. I found myself having a great time trying to figure out where I'd start if I was able to have my way with her.
