  As soon as Lindsey's ambulance arrives at the hospital Lindsey is rushed to the emergency room. Within minutes it determined that Lindsey has a blocked artery in his neck that has caused the stroke.

  Karen and Kristen arrived at the hospital right after the ambulance. Karen took care if the paperwork while Kristen talked to the doctors.

  Kristen has signed off on emergency surgery to insert a stent to remove the blockage.

  Kristen's parents have arrived at the hospital so Karen goes to her car to call Stevie and let her know she's on her way. Stevie asks her

  "How is Lindsey?"

  "Please tell me he's going to be okay!"

  Karen responds

  "He's in emergency surgery having a stent put in."

  "He will have to have tests to see the extent of the damage to his brain."

  "Sorry I wish I had better news, I'll he there soon."

  Stevie is devastated. She steels herself, she has to put on a good front for Lindsey's children.

  Will is in the den playing video games with Leelee. Stella is sitting next to Stevie on the couch in the living room. She takes Stevie's hand and asks

  "How my daddy Aunt Stevie?"

  Stevie replies

  "He's having surgery but it looks like he should be alright."

  "Maybe we should order Chinese for supper, would you like that?

  Stella says

"Chinese is my favorite I'll tell Leelee and Will!"

  Stevie smiles a small smile as Stella runs in the other room. Inside Stevie's stomach is doing flip flops. She really wants to be at the hospital holding Lindsey's hand but she knows that's his wife's place. She will watch over his children as long as she has too.

  Soon Karen arrives at Lindsey's house and fills Stevie in on all of the details. Karen adds

  "Kristen acted a little off, not like I would expect."

  Stevie says

  "What do you mean Karen?"

  Karen responds

  "She just didn't seem as upset as I thought she should."

  "Maybe I've been around you too long!"

  Both Stevie and Karen have a small laugh then the Chinese delivery arrives. Karen and Stevie help the kids get out all the serving dishes out for the family style entrees and rice.

The kids are just starting to eat when the front door opens and shuts. Both Stevie and Karen look up as Kristen walks into the dining room. Kristen says

  "Looks like somebody bought Chinese takeout my favorite!"

  Stevie and Karen look bewildered as Kristen sits down at the table and makes herself a plate. Stevie asks her

  "How is Lindsey?"

  Kristen looks up and says

  "He will be in surgery for a while, I told them to call me."

  "Thanks Stevie for being with the kids and getting supper!"

  Kristen and the kids continue to eat so Stevie excuses herself and she and Karen leave. After their in the car Stevie says
