Niall's POV:
We had just finished our show and were heading back to the bus to get Caitlin. "Should we go out for a drink? after all it is our last show before Christmas." Harry suggested, shrugging his shoulders. "Yeah, that's a good idea Harry." Zayn swung his arm round Harry's shoulder. "What about you Niall, You in?" Louis asked, looking over at me. "Sure, Why not." I smiled.
As we entered the bus the smell of a female was very strong. I went weak at the knees at the scent of Caitlin's perfume. "Steady on Niall." Liam laughed. We went into the back where Caitlin was sitting on the edge of the couch with a wireless controller in her hands. "What are you playing?" I sat next to her. "Fifa 14." She replied not taking her eyes of the screen. "And yes, I'm winning." she spoke again before I could open my mouth.
"You want to come out for a drink?" I asked quickly. She paused the game and put the controller down. "I don't drink." she shuck her head. "So, your Irish but you don't drink?" Louis sat on the other side of her placing two fingers on his temples. "Yeah." She shrugged. "Well then, guess you just want to sit here alone all night." Louis got up shaking his head from left to right. "No, I want to come with you." She looked up at them sniggering. "Come on then, we're going now." I smiled at her.
We all left the bus and went to the nearest bar we could find. The place wasn't that busy, a few people round a pool table and people having romantic meals. "5 pints of Guinness please, and for the lady an orange juice." Harry waltzed up to the bar leaning on his elbow. I noticed Caitlin looking at the time a lot. "Calm down pet, we aren't in a hurry." I smiled at her reassuringly. "Yeah, sorry." She smiled back.
"You want to get back to the game don't you?" I chuckled at her, being so fidgety. "Is it really that obvious?" She twisted her fingers and her shoulders tensed. I nodded and she sighed, taking a seat on a bar stool. "You're addicted." I sat on the bar stool next to her. "Your Guinness sir, and there's your orange juice miss." He smiled lightly at her. "Thanks." we said in sync.
"Are you going to Ireland for Christmas this year?" She asked, running her finger around the rim off the glass. "I don't know yet, depends what the lads do, if they go to see their family for Christmas I'll go see mine." I shrugged taking a sip of the icy cool beer that was like heaven in my mouth.
"Ah right." She nodded understandingly. I asked "What about you?" After a minute or so of silence between us. "I would like to to back to Ireland to see how my dad's doing." She stared at the orange liquid that sat in her glass. "I could take you over to see him if you like." I took another sip. "You would do that for me?" she looked over with a smile on her face. "Of course I would your my girlfriend, I mean my best friend." I closed my eyes tightly, kicking my self for saying that.
"I didn't mean to say girlfriend." I opened one eye to see her. "it's alright, I knew what you meant." She giggled lightly. "Good." I let out a sigh of relief. "Oi, you two." Louis called from the pool table. We turned in sync to see Louis with a glass of beer in his hand. "Want to play?" He raised is eyebrows along with his glass. "No thanks Louis we're fine." Caitlin spoke with a giggle. "Suit yourself." He turned to the table putting his glass on the side.
"Is this seat taken?" I heard another masculine voice. I turned to see a man gesturing to the seat next to Caitlin. "No, be my guest." She smiled at him then took a sip of her orange juice. I looked at her then him then back at her. They talked for ages. By the time Harry and Louis had finished their 3rd beer I think every one was ready to go back. "Come on love, time to go." I stood up looking at Caitlin. "Oh right, sure." She turned quickly and waved goodbye to the mysterious man.
I would say I was fairly drunk, not as much as Harry and Louis but drunk enough to go do something stupid. "Hey! Niall, we should go to the tattoo parlour and get you a tattoo!" Harry swung his arm round me. I saw Caitlin on her phone probably texting that new guy. "Yeah, why not." We stumbled towards the parlour, Caitlin following. "Wait, what?" Caitlin stopped us all before we entered. "Niall, your not getting a tattoo." She shuck her head. "Errr, yes I am." I shrugged my shoulders. "Errr, No, your not." she mimicked me.
"Why do you care, you got that new lad." I turned to enter the parlour. "Niall James Bloody Horan don't you dare, take another step." she shouted. Smirking, I moved my leg forward. "Niall, I am not, I repeat NOT letting you make a big mistake." She spoke again. "Niall wait!" Louis shouted. "What?" I turned round to him. "I remember! You told me to stop you from making another bad decision!" He shouted. Then it hit me, I remember telling him that, it's like all this was meant to be, all the pieces of a jigsaw fitting perfectly.
"And I remember all about Caitlin, I remember every thing." Louis smirked at her. "your right what am I doing, lets to back to the bus." I shook my head and took Caitlin's hand in mine. "Thank you for not getting a tattoo Niall." She clung on to my arm. "Thank you for stopping me." I kissed the top of her head. We got on the bus and just sat in the back, talking.
Later on.
"I can't believe we all forgot who you were Caitlin." Liam shuck his head almost as if he was a shamed of himself. "Well I'm glad you lot remember my past 'cause I certainly don't." Caitlin looked at us all, her hair was still tied up high, and her eyes had changed to a shade of emerald green. "It's like she has amnesia." Zayn spoke, not taking his eyes off her. "Yeah." Harry agreed again his eyes not leaving her face. "She probably does have amnesia." Liam leaned back.
"The word amnesia reminds me of custard." Caitlin blurted out. We all looked at each other,I burst out laughing and Liam gave me a strange look. "She's thinking of ambrosia custard." I laughed. "See, he understands." She laughed. "Ambrosia? you two are mad." Liam rubbed his eyes. "We should get Gemma to have a look at Caitlin." Harry spoke. "Yeah, she can probably help." Louis smiled.
All of a sudden we felt a jolt and then an engine started. "To London lads." Harry raised his arm in the air as if we were charging on a battle field. It was a long journey to London from Edinburgh so we made sure there was plenty to eat and drink.
