Chapter 5

Mark's P.O.V. (something new, heh.)
That poor kid, how could that happen to someone so young. I feel bad for her. If she is going to be put in an orphanage I can adopt her, right? I know that sounds crazy but I'm not going to let such a smart soul rott in an orphanage. It's 8:15 AM, I should get dressed. And I think I should talk to Jack about his little outburst that he had yesterday night.
I made my way to Jack's hotel room, and knocked on the door.
Seconds later Jack opened the door,  only in a towel. Holy shit he's hot. Fuck, I can feel my cheeks get warmer and warmer.
J:"Hey Mark!"
M:"Oh, hey Jack! Um, I wanted to ask you what happened last night? About screaming at her.."
J:"What? Oh, about that, one I wasn't screaming at your little lover, two I'm loud in general so... nothing new."
Oh God he thinks that I like her, he's so wrong,  he doesn't even know it. Right, he doesn't know it.
M:"Wait a darn second, that isn't true. I do not like her, plus she's fucking 17."
Jack's jaw dropped when he heard that and blushed a little, while he was looking at the floor I was looking at his abs, his chest hair that was just  enough, not gross. Oh much I would love to hold him, to leave love marks and place sloppy kisses all over his gorgeous body while we-
J:"Mark are you okay? You were kinda..staring at me." He said while blushing.
Fuck. He caught me.. I could feel my cheeks burning red.
M:"Oh, um, yes! I'm okay, don't worry. Hehe." I chuckled awkwardly."I think you should get dressed, it's getting late. So, see you in front of the hotel. Buh-bye!"
J:"Um, bye Mark!" He said while blushing.
I made my way to the front of the hotel and I see Kia sitting on the cold concrete stairs of the hotel, smoking.
Kia's P.O.V.
I see Mark in the corner of my eye, approaching me.
M:"Hey Kia. For how long have you been out here. You're freezing." He said after he touched my arm. "Here. Take my sweater."
K:"No, you don't need to give me, your sweater I have one, see?" I said while pointing at my open backpack.
M:"Then put it on, it's freezing outside!"
K:"Noo, I'm ok."
M:"Oh no, young lady, you're gonna wear it." He said while putting the sweater on me. "Anyway, you haven't answered my question."
K:"I think I went outside around 6:30AM, because I couldn't sleep anymore."
M:"Why? You should have come to my room, I wouldn't have cared if you woke me up, if you need someone to talk to, I want you to remember that you can count on me."
K:"Thank you, Mark. You made my day a little less miserable."
After I finished my sentence, I see Felix, Jack and Wade, in the corner of my eye, coming our way. Jack looked annoyed about my presence, and Felix and Wade are in general happy.
M:"Hey guys!"
F, W:"Hey!"
Jack remained silent.
K:"Hello there." I said as calmly as possible I can even if I'm breaking inside.
After a couple of seconds of awkward silence, Felix finally decides to speak up.
F:"I think we should get going, it's getting late."
We all went to the car and after an infernal traffic we arrived at Pax.
After we arrived at Pax I asked Jack:
K:"Can we talk, please?"
J:"Um, okay..?"
After that I dragged him in an alley next to the building.
K:"Ok, I know that you don't really like me, for some reason that I don't know, but I can assure that I'm not gonna steal your big ol' Markimoo. Plus I only like him as a friend."
After my little speech Jack's cheeks were burning red with embarrassment and blushing, probably.
J:"Oh. I didn't expect that. I thought that you liked him, not that I would have a problem, haha." He chuckled awkwardly.
K:"Jack. I know that you like Mark."
He just freezed when he heard those words come out of my mouth.
"The way you look at him, you laugh at every little stupid thing that he does, you blush a lot when you are next to him, plus I kinda can read your mind, so no biggie."
J:"Is that obvious?"
K:"Yes it is."
After a couple of seconds of silence Jack finally realizes what I said and:
J:"Wait a foockin' second, did you just say that you can read my mind?!"he whisper-shouted.
K:"Oh, right. You didn't know. Well, I'm not going to lie. I have superpowers."
J:"Oh my God! That's so cool!"
K:"Come let's go, we're already running pretty late."
He nodded and we went inside.
After a signing session where they met fans and talked with them, I see Mark coming my direction.
M:"Come on we have to go."
K:"Wait, where?" I was confused.
M:"To the trial, to decide that taxi driver's fate."
I completely forgot about that. When bad things happen to my family I just try to forget.
K:"But Mark, you still have a panel to do!"
M:"I know but the police officer said that this trial is only gonna last about a hour so we still have plenty of time."
K:"Ok, then let's get going. And Mark thank you so much, for doing this."
M:"Don't mention it. It's nothing."
After that we headed to the car, and then to the court.
Mark's P.O.V.
We arrived at the court and the trial started. I don't know how but in the matter of seconds her lawyer from Los Angeles, was right here! Oh, yeah,  riiiight, she has superpowers. I see her talking to him, I think his name is Zack or something like that.
I approach the judge and ask her:
M:"So, yesterday night you called after the officer got my number, and asked what would happen to this kid."
Ju:"Yes. That is true."
M:"And I wanted to ask you, can I adopt her?"
Ju:"Yes, of course you can, the paperwork is going to be done today, and then someone authorized is going to come to your house and see if you have the conditions to keep her and if you would be a capable father."
M:"Ok, thank you so much!"
Ju:"No problem."
Kia's P.O.V.
After one hour and a half the process was done and WE WON! That guy was sentenced to 15 years in prison for killing two people, and because we had the footage of him crashing into my parents that was on the cameras that were outside.
And the day went on like any other normal day,  Mark flirting with Jack and Wade and Felix teased Mark for liking Jack.
And after the second day of Pax we went to the hotel.
And then I got a call..
