I sat on the edge of my bed, threading my fingers through my hair, worry obvious on my face. I was worried for Coal, I wasn’t sure on his condition and truthfully I wanted to somehow get in contact with him but I now knew that was going to be impossible. I couldn’t believe that I had just caused more pain for my brother, I love him but I obviously didn’t love him enough to tell him that he shouldn’t have been talking to me.
I was still in my pyjamas and it was almost eleven-thirty. Even though I had no clue on what time Poison was going to be here by, I knew it was going to be soon and I also knew I should be dressed into proper clothes by now. It was the day of my date and I had no clue on where we were going. I literally had no details and truthfully I liked it that way. I wanted to be surprised, to see what Poison has prepared for the both of us, to see what he thinks of a date.
Letting out a sigh I rose to my feet, the cream carpet welcoming my toes, curling around them. I pulled my hands away from my hair as I made my way over to my closet, pulling open the draws to look for some clothes. I rattled through my draw for several minutes before pulling out a black top that had the yellow batman symbol on the front along with a pair of yellow jeans and a black batman hoodie with the same yellow batman symbol.
From underneath my bed I pulled out my purple high top converses that has the Joker on them along with ‘HA HA’ written all over it in yellow writing. Biting my lip I left my room to have a warm shower, letting the heat of the water calm me down. The shower was short and it didn’t take me long to dry my wet hair and straighten it out before heading back to my room. I pulled my black batman beanie onto my head before clasping a batman necklace around my neck, the coolness of the metal making a shutter run down my spine.
On my ring finger of my right hand and the middle finger on my left I wore metal batman rings. Letting out a sigh I pulled a yellow batman wristband onto my wrist before clasping my batman belt around my waist. Hanging off of one of the belt loops was a metal batman symbol. I smiled happily as the sound of the door bell echoed throughout the house making my heart skip a beat.
Running my fingers through my hair I raced out of my room towards the door before flinging it open to reveal Poison. His hair was combed neatly as he wore a black Charlie the Unicorn shirt underneath his unzipped blue superman hoodie. With that he wore a pair of greyish black skinny jeans that matched the dark blue superman high top converses that covered his feet. On his right ring finger I could see a superman ring along with matching wristbands on both wrists, just visible underneath his hoodie. Pinned to his black shirt that had ‘Shun the non believer’ written on it, was a blue superman badge.
I smirked at his appearance, shaking my head shamefully as looked over what he wore. I mouthed a ‘wow’ before looking at his face, his expression matching mine.
“So, you’re a superman fan, huh?” I stated, watching him as he placed his hands onto his hips.
“Only because everyone knows that Superman is far superior compared to Batman,” Poison replied smugly making me scoff.
“Superman wishes,” I muttered, pushing past him to head towards his car, enjoying the fact that he now wasn’t a learner driver anymore.
“Pfft, you’re just jealous that Superman is way more awesome than Batman,” Poison answered back, following me as I let out a fake gasp.
“Don’t swear!” I scolded, stopping and turning on my heel.
“I didn’t,” Poison replied, confused.
“You’re right, what you said was worse than any swear word,” I said, shaking my head as I started walking again, Poison walking beside me.
“You’re over exaggerating,” Poison replied, shaking his head with a smile as he linked his fingers through mine.
