Hi there!

Thanks to every single one of you who decided to give my story a chance. Hopefully you'll continue reading it. I would like to hear about any crazy theories you guys came up with.  :)

I'll update every Saturday!

Happy Reading :D

And yes Ariadne was not able to hit the bull's eye the other two times. One time it totally missed the target flying over it and the other the knife barely hit the white region with its wooden handle bouncing of the target.

"Guess it was pure luck after all," Ariadne said shaking her head.

"Don't worry about it," Laura said placing a hand on her shoulder, "Maybe you just need to be worked up to 'Unleash the hidden potential!'" she said jokingly.

"Nah....I'd rather not lose my cool,"

Of course, nobody had seen Ariadne lose her cool before. She argued yes, but she always joked about something or the other.

'She is too......different,' he thought, 'I thought people adapted to survive and expected her to be....rude?'

For the last time for a while he wondered how she survived with that kindness intact.

Daniel took up residence in the terrace for his evening watch. He took his seat by the broken table and crouched low and placed the butt of his trusty AssaultS50 on his shoulder and waited.

The sun went down and the moon came up, bringing with it the darkness. Things would become a little more difficult but thanks to his perfected vision, he could see far better than a normal human. It was times like these that he wished Alex was here with them.

"It's too late now, isn't it?" Ariadne said and he whipped around to face her in shock, "You should get to bed, y'know........why are you staring at me like I've uncovered some big dark secret?"

"No-o......it's nothing, I was......I was just thinking," he said shakily. For a minute it seemed like she read his mind.

" I'm supposed to take watch......for unwanted guests,"

"Meaning the NSI," Ariadne nodded, "I'll stay with you then,"

"You can't stay awake for that long, you're just a human,"
He saw it again, the corner of her lips twitched.

"Are you serious? I want to keep you company and you're chasing me away? What is wrong with you?"

" No! What is wrong with you? You were the rudest person I've ever met in my whole 18 years of life and now you want to be friends? Eff you!"

"What is going on up there?" Nora screamed from down below. The ceilings of the Shack were very thin and anyone can easily eavesdrop on any conversation.

"Umm....nothing," Ariadne said staring at Daniel, "We were just......discussing,"

"Whatever," Nora said not believing a word, "Just keep it down will ya?"

"We'll try to...." Ariadne replied grinning.

Daniel grinned back, his green eyes now filled with mirth as he stared at Ariadne. Her eyes suddenly lost focus and she frowned and then her lips twitched. Twice. He somehow knew that it had nothing to do with the current situation.
