"(Y/N), there you are! Where have you been? They're about to open the doors in a few minutes!" You mumbled sorry before handing her the cold coffee.
"I was at the coffee shop. I swear I planned to be back sooner, but I met this amazing group of guys. You should have seen them, (Y/BF/N). All of them were at least six feet tall, and perfect tens. Plus their accents... to die for." You put your hand to your heart, letting out a content sigh just thinking of the boys.
"Accents? What kind of accents?" She questioned, clearly intrigued.
"Australian, I think. I nearly melted, just talking to them." (Y/BF/N) raised her eyebrows. How many groups of Australian guys could there be in one city... "I ran into one of them when I was getting our drinks. I spilled my drink all over him. It was so embarrassing. But when I looked up at him... (Y/BF/N). He was gorgeous. Tall, long legs, broad shoulders, blonde hair with a bunch of hair product in it, but oh it works for him, and these piercing blue eyes-"
"What was his name?" She asked, a little more urgently this time.
"Luke. He was so nice about the whole situation. He even said that the accident was his fault, when it really wasn't-"
"What were his friends names?!" (Y/BF/N) was now holding you tightly by your shoulders, her eyes wide in anticipation. "(Y/N), I NEED to know!"
"Ashton, Calum, and Michael. Why?" She immediately released her grip on your shoulders, as she began jumping in the air and squealing hysterically. Her squeals made the other girls in line begin to scream as well. "Why are you so excited about this?" You semi-yelled so she could hear you over the other girls cries.
"You met them! AHHHH!"
"I met who, (Y/BF/N)?"
"5 Seconds of Summer! The band we're here to see! Look!" She spun your around, giving you the chance to see the poster on the brick wall. '5 Seconds of Summer, LIVE Tonight. SOLD OUT.' Underneath the words was a picture of all four boys, looking just as you remembered, minus the color of Michael's hair.
"Woah."
...
"What happened after that? 'Cause if I knew you guys, (Y/BF/N) would have begged me to introduce you to her."
"Oh, she did."
...
"I can't believe I'm about to meet 5 Seconds of Summer in person! Oh my God! I think I'm gonna pass out!" (Y/BF/N) squealed. After the show, Luke had called you, asking if you wanted to meet up with him and the guys. You agreed on the condition that (Y/BF/N) could tag along.
"Calm down. You'll be fine. I'm sure they'll love you." You assured her, as you walked passed security. Luke had given them the heads up that you were coming, so they let you slip backstage.
"(Y/N)!" You turned around, seeing Luke jogging up to you. "Glad you came." He pulled you in for a quick hug before turning to (Y/BF/N). "Hi." Her face lit up, almost in shock that the blonde boy was talking to her.
"You're-You're Luke Hemmings."
"And you're (Y/BF/N). (Y/N) has told all of us a lot about you." Her mouth curved up into a massive smile. "Come here." Luke extended his arms, pulling her into a hug. She returned the hug eagerly, holding on to him very tightly, not wanting to let go.
"When you said you had the best seats in the house, I didn't think you meant on stage." You spoke up, making him laugh.
"What did you think of the show? We're we as good as, (Y/BF/N) said we were?"
"No."
"Oh." He frowned.
"You were even better."
"I see you found, (Y/N)." Ashton said as he and the other boys rounded the corner. (Y/BF/N) immediately pulled away from Luke and ran over to the other boys. She hugged Michael and Calum first, purposefully leaving Ashton last so she could latch on to him longer than she did with Luke. "Alex called about ten minutes ago and said that they're going out tonight and invited us to join. Do you want to go?"
"What do you say?" Luke looked to you, hoping you'd say yes. You smiled before glancing over at (Y/BF/N) who was nodding like crazy.
"We'd love to."
...
"The six of us stayed out all night. Michael and Calum got completely wasted and started dancing like maniacs. ATL did some hilarious drunk karaoke. Ashton and (Y/BF/N) talked for a long time, and you and I did the same. It was a really good night." He left out the part where the two of you had your first kiss when he dropped you off at home the next morning. He thought you weren't ready to hear that just yet. After All, you did think he was married to someone else.
"I remember that Ashton was (Y/BF/N)'s favorite out of the four of you. Did something ever happen between the two of them?"
"The two of them dated for around six months, but the long distance thing was really hard on the both of them. After that they occasionally hooked up ever time we came back into town, but once (Y/BF/N) met Dylan, they decided to just stay friends."
"Who's Dylan?" You asked, clearly confused.
"Dylan is now (Y/BF/N)'s husband. They got married a couple of years ago. Ashton actually met his fiancee, Sophie, at her wedding." (Y/BF/N) is married... Ashton is engaged... She's your best friend. How could you not remember the most important day of her life?
"You're married, and Ashton is engaged. What about Calum and Michael?"
"Calum's wife left a few years back, but he does have a son around Emma's age. He's just like, Cal. Such a mini troublemaker."
"What about Michael?"
"He's still looking. He's had a bunch of girlfriends, but they never seem to work out in the long run."
You couldn't even begin to think of how much you missed based on the little things that Luke had just told you. There was a whole section of at least ten years missing from your life. Luke had only filled you in on certain things, and those alone were beginning to overwhelm you, and your were sure that was only a portion of what you've missed over the years.
"Is there anything else really big that I can't remember? I mean like big details. Something really important?"
"Well..." He hesitated, conflicted on whether or not to reveal the full details just yet. He'd told you a lot for one day, we're you ready for the full details?
"Emma, wait!" You heard Michael yell as the little blonde girl ran through the door. When she saw you her eyes lit up. She ran over and jumped on you, throwing her tiny arms around your neck, and pulling tightly.
"Mommy! You're awake!" She pulled back, rambling on and on about what she had been doing with Liz over the past few days. You studied her, recognizing her from the picture Luke had shown you. She was the little girl. His daughter. And she just called you mommy. You looked over at Luke and Michael, noticing the panicked expression on your face mirrored theirs. Clearly, letting Emma see you was not part of their plan.
"Mommy, look a these stickers grandma bought me! They have all the princesses." She waved the sticker sheet at you, pointing at a few as she listed their names. "This one is for you." Emma peeled off a sticker of Aurora and pressed it to your hospital gown. "She's the bestest princess."
"If she's your favorite why don't you keep her?" You asked, trying to stay calm.
"Because she's you." You looked at the little five year old, confused. You may not remember everything, but you were positive you weren't a princess. "While you were sleeping, daddy said you were sleeping beauty!" A light bush rose to you cheeks.
"Emma, how about we go show Uncle Calum those stickers. Okay?" Michael said.
"Oh yeah! I know exactly which one to give him! Bye mommy! Bye Daddy!" She jumped off your lap before running past Michael and out the door. "Uncle Caluuuum!" Michael sent Luke an, 'I'm sorry,' smile before closing the door behind him.
"You might have left out a few details."
