DING-DONG ... DING-DONG!
Demi groaned as she opened her eyes. She read the time on her wall clock to see it was only six in the morning...
Ding-ding-ding-dong!
She rolled her eyes as she slowly shuffled to the door. Not even bothering to check the peep hole she swung the door open to be met with two tired looking boys around her age. With no hesitation they both strolled in and made themselves at home. The taller of the two boys was the first to speak.
"Rap- I mean Namjoon told us to check on you... Hey you got any food?" His companion slapped the back of his neck. Demi shook her head no. She still hadn't gone grocery shopping. The other boy decided to introduce himself.
"I'm Jimin..." He flashed her a weak grin. For some reason it didn't reach his eyes, it almost seemed forced.
"... And this pabo is Jungkook." Jimin received a glare the obviously younger boy, even though he was a head taller than his hyung.
"Well anyways Jungkook reminded me that I have some grocery shopping to do so I better get ready to go... Uh thanks for stopping bye." They nodded, both of them rising from their spots on the sofa. Demi held the door open as the two boys took their leave. Yet before she could shut the door Jimin brightened up and turned around. "We could just go with you! Wouldn't want you getting hurt again." He smirked a bit and told her to wait in the lobby for them. Demi complied as she shut the door. Sighing she realized today was going to be a looooong day._______________________________________
Ten minutes later Demi met both of the boys in the lobby. "Finally, you made it!" Jimin quickly slapped Jungkook again, earning a giggle from the girl. Jimin flashed a crooked smile. He suddenly grimaced and went back to his stoic calm expression. Hmmm...
Anyways they were off. They stopped at several places along the way as well. Demi had to get a new credit card, exchange all of her dollars to Korean currency, and lastly head to the local market.
"So you mean to tell me some random guy shoved you in broad daylight and just took off with all your stuff?!" Jimin seemed genuinely worried about the entire ordeal.
"Yeah... Thank goodness I only had my card and a few bucks on me." He agreed when suddenly it seemed like he realized something.
"Wait! W-what color was your purse?" She furrowed her brows."Lilac colored why?" His eyes widened, yet he quickly covered it up with a cough.
"Uh no reason..." Something was up but Demi chose to ignore him. Jungkook on the other hand was a few feet ahead of the pair stacking a variety of foods and snacks into the shopping cart. Once they paid the boys helped Demi carry the bags home.
"Well thank you for all the help." She smiled as each boy nodded. Jungkook was already making his way to their apartment while Jimin strayed behind. "Demi, if you ever need anything just know we're always just down the hall... " She smiled as she watched him turn and make his way to his place. Shutting the door Demi let her thoughts drift to her neighbors. They were without a doubt sweet boys but something seemed kinda off. Jungkook wasn't a bad person just seemed to not have a filter. Jimin was truly a sweetheart, but at times it seemed like he was in his own world. His gaze would go blank and Demi could swear that his eyes at moments would tear up. Then there was the whole purse thing. He seemed almost as if he knew something. But she could always be over thinking things._______________________________________
He sat in his dark apartment as he dumped the contents of the small lavender colored purse onto the coffee table. His eyes were immediately drawn to the wallet. Without hesitation he picked it up and opened it. The only things inside were a couple gift cards and about twenty US dollars. His hands fumbled through a few of the cards when he noticed one different than all of the others. Jackpot. A shiny new credit card lay in the palm of his hand. He grinned knowing that he could possibly buy enough food for the boys and himself this time. Before he could grab his stuff and go out shopping the phone in his left hand lit up. Not bothering to check the ID he answered.
"Hyung! Where are you? " Jimin's voice seemed exasperated.
" Home... I was about to leave. The purse I found yesterday had a credit card so I was about to uh- try and find the owner. " He could hear Jimin scoff.
" We both know that is not what you were going to do. " He sighed.
" Fine, maybe I was going to go buy some food. You know how much we need! Anything we can get our hands on!" The line was silent for a few moments.
"Hyung don't use it... There's no use its a canceled card anyways. As soon as you use it you'll have cuffs on your wrists and you'll be on your way to prison. " The older boy took in what Jimin said for a moment." How do you know that? " How on earth was this boy so sure about all of this?
"Because the girl you stole from is my new neighbor. I hope you realize you hurt her ankle. I didnt think you would stoop this low Jin. This isn't you! Your supposed to be a model for all of us..." He was right...
"Do any of the other boys know? "
"No they don't... Let's keep it that way." "I can only agree." After their little discussion the two caught each other up on how things have been going and soon enough they hung up. Jin silently glanced over at the jar of savings Namjoon and he had in the living room. They've had the thing for years now and it was only a quarter of the way filled. Most of that was from Jin's pickpocketing, even though Rapmon didn't know about that. Jin sighed staring at the little purple purse. He tucked it away and shoved the twenty in his pocket and soon made his way out of the apartment.Word count: 1070
