Interesting job

How bad will this be?

I know I know the last one sucked it was mostly dialogue but I'm working on it trust me it will be a little bit better maybe I make no promises

William had gotten lucky and was able to walk around the base and meet everyone. He was also relieved that frank wouldn't be on watch.
"Nice to meet you." William said putting his hand out to a unknown female
"Nice to meet you too." She said shaking his hand "what is your name private?" She said with a clear fake smile
"I'm private William frankinson but I'd rather go by glory."
"I'm lieutenant Ericka Roberts but I go by nosh." She made another fake smile
"Doesn't nosh mean eat?" He snickered
"Yes it does." She growled and walked away
Well one person down many more to go.

Fifteen minutes later

William had bumped into three friendly men. Leon, Jeffrey, and Gabe who went by in order Leon, Shock, and Psychoclown or psycho

Lieutenant Leon had been an experienced solider who knew his way around the battlefield.

Private Shock had arrived a day before William and was funny, charismatic, and witty.

Private psycho had also arrived a day before William and was smart, funny, and competitive.

The four had become close friends quick. They had some how formed a natural bond that they couldn't explain.

You might be wondering what was on that supply truck if you weren't too bad I'm telling you anyways. On the truck was supplies for a party they were throwing that they do every time they get new recruits and was always a surprise.

The four were walking down the hall while shock was telling a joke "so a man wins the lottery and he comes home and tells his wife about it and says pack your bags. The wife asks where they were going. The husband responds I don't know where you're going as long as you're gone by five." Everyone laughed at the joke

"That's dark." Leon said laughing

"Did you make that up?" Psycho asked between laughs

"Well duh of course." Shock said

"You liar that was on the office." Glory said busting shock.

"Alright alright you got me it was for the office." Shock said laughing causing Leon and psycho to laugh even harder.

"It's about noon we should go get our rations." Leon suggested

"Bleh." Glory had made a gagging face making them all laugh

Five hours later

Leon was taking glory, shock, and psycho to the welcome party

"How far away is it?" Psycho moaned

"We just started walking." Leon had answered "and it's straight down the hall.

"Go...on...without...me" glory said before falling

"The door is right here I'm able to touch it." Leon said in disbelief

"That's like eighteen miles in America." Shock responded

"Get up or else you'll miss the food." Leon had bribed glory making him stand up faster than you could say howdy.

When Leon opened the door they walked in and nearly had heart attacks when nearly fifty people shouted surprise

"Welcome to the base." Kaiser had welcomed them

"Welcome to hell." riff said quietly so only they could hear. The room was instantly full of talk and after fifteen minutes there was food. Real food sort of still tasted good but wasn't there normal food.

William had met a couple people and gave some nicknames and others what they want to be called.
The nicknames were the politic, the missionary, the elder, and more

William had continued talking with shock, Leon, and psycho until Kaiser had made a terrible toast "if I may have your attention please." The room got quiet "thank you. I would like to welcome these new recruits to this base and become one of us and feel like family the same way we do with each other cheers."
