Ch. 9

Lily's POV

I nervously ran from the plane exit, to a cab and drive straight to lex's place.

As I rode there I saw all of the beautiful lights and people.

It immediately made my face lit up.

I realized that all I ever wanted was, to be free.
But there was something missing, Him.

Grayson's POV

I paced around my room wondering what to do.
So I just quickly packed a bag and bought the earliest flight to Cali.
I left a note for whoever this may concern.

"Hey, whoever is reading this I went somewhere, I don't know when I will be back, but don't wait up I'll be fine very soon - Gray".

I grabbed my keys and left.

I walked up to the gate and handed my ticket to the flight attendant, and walked in.

Once I sat down I pulled up Lily's contact and sent her a message.

This girl drives me crazy both ways.

I'm on my way to la.

Lily
What?!

Grayson
Where are you? I'm coming to you.

Lily
Grayson...you don't need to.

Grayson
I'm coming lily! Where are you?

Lily
Text me when you get here, I'll meet you at Venice beach.

Grayson
Ok, I love you.

Lily
I love you too.

I smiled before falling into a deep sleep.

skip plane ride

I woke up to the voice of the flight attendant announcing our landing.

I stood up and once I walked out all I heard was.

"Omg Grayson!!".

"Can we take a picture?!".

"I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!".

Oh shit.

I finished taking pictures with everyone, until one girl walked up to me.

She had dark brown hair and brown eyes, and a relatively small figure.

"Hey gray, I was wondering if you want to go out maybe?". She smiled a super sweet smile.

"Oh.. Uh I would love to, but I'm kind of dating someone". I ran my hand through my hair.
I heard multiple gasps.

"Oh don't worry about it, really". She smiled.

"Really! Oh thanks for understanding".

"For sure". I watched her walk off.

That's when I realized that my whole fandom would know.

"Ok thanks for seeing me you guys love you all!". I yelled before rushing to my cab and texting lily.

*messages*

Grayson
I'm here.

Lily
Ok meet me at the beach.

Grayson
Ok.

I dropped off my stuff and my best friend jakes apartment before heading to the beach.

The sun was setting and it was beautiful.

I walked around searching for her, until my eyes landed on a girl.

Her hair golden like the sun, I knew she was here with me and suddenly I felt complete again.

I walked closer and saw smoke rising from the girls mouth.

"Lily?". She looked my way before smiling and looking back towards the sunset.

She took another puff.

"Lily why did you come here?". I sat next to her.

"I am the problem, that's why I needed to leave".

"Lily what happened back there?". I put my arm around her.

"I'm just tired of feeling tied down, and worried about everything all the time".

"You like it here huh?".

"Ya actually". She smiled crushing the cigarette bud crush between her fingers and letting it fall into the sand.

She spoke with such passion, you could see the excitement in her eyes.

"It's quiet and I can finally think, then I realized the only thing missing was...you". She looked down.

"Lily, after I spent what felt like an eternity drowning, you taught me how to breath". I breathed out.

She let a tear escape.

"I never thought I would be capable of showing emotion ever again". She whispered.

She turned towards me.

"Grayson you were my cure".

"And you were mine". I grabbed her waist and pulled her on top of me.

She laughed and fixed her hair before I kissed her passionately.

Letting go of the kiss.

"We can be crazy together" I whispered.

"That's an understatement". She smiled.
