Quote: "Being a lawyer is not the same as a serial killer...unless you want to object to every crime you committted to the Judge...that was the deepest flaw in the self that was Ted Bundy", unquote, (Author Robert Helliger, August 4, 1973-).
**Christmas 1977**
By December 23 of that year, Ted Bundy escaped from prison. He used another prisoner's hacksaw, (an illegal weapon), and walked in a moderate-sized crawlspace. He then headed to Denver, Colorado; he then travelled by bus to Chicago.
One of Bundy's girlfriend's, *Chery Booth*, (not her real name), came to visit him.
"Why aren't you marrying me?", she asked.
"I'm going to", Bundy answered, as he kissed her.
He knew that visit was her last, because he had had plans to leave. The guards weren't aware of his plans.
And, when he did escape on December 31, 1977, they had eggs on their faces...especially the Wardens.

Bundy headed to places he was infamous for when he murdered several women. He wanted to make sure that 1978 was a new year to be away from the limelight.
But instead, the law was closing in on Ted Bundy.

January 14-16, 1978
Ann Arbor, Michigan
Bundy was in one of America's most beautiful cities. He attended a football match between VW and Michigan.
When the home time lost, he hid his disappointment...then headed to Tallahassee, Florida. Known as "The Retirement Capital of America", it was also home to Governor Jed Bush's infamous time later on as someone who electrocuted 50 or so criminals at one time.
Florida these days is full of sinkholes...and has further issues to deal with in the 21st century. But, in the late 1970's, it was home to mass murderers like Ted Bundy.

Ted Bundy arrived at Florida State University, (FSU). He was now within reach of the Chi Omega Sorority campus.
And he was back to what he did before.

The main reason no one caught Ted Bundy was that he went under the alias "Chris Hagen". Like DeSalvo in the 1960's, in Boston, who was "The Measuring Man", "Chris Hagen", broke into the sorority campus around 2:45 am, (January 14, 1978).
Because there was no night security guard on duty, Bundy got inside the Sorority house easily. In that time, crime in New York was so bad, that murders, rapes, and assaults happened every day. And every night.
And there was nothing anyone could do to stop it.
