(Geoff POV)
I felt his hands shake in mine as we both walked to our bedroom. he was crying, quivering. he was scared.
"shh, baby, it's okay, I promise," I hushed him. that's when we heard the fourth crack of lightning and thunder of the night. he tightened his grip around me.
I stopped walking and looked down at him. poor baby, I thought as he began to cry into my chest more. I shushed him again as I picked him up bridal style, starting to carry him to our room.
  "it'll be okay, kitten. all we have to do is make it to the bedroom. can you do that?" he nodded, still crying. I smiled down at him assuringly, and he smiled back at me through glistening tears.
  more lightning and thunder came, but he powered through it. I was so proud of him, my little angel.
  I opened the door to our bedroom and gently placed him on the bed. I turned off the lights and snuggled into bed with him. I felt him shaking in my arms, but as soon as I started rubbing his back he calmed down.
  when I was sure that he was asleep, I lightly kissed him on the nose and started to go to sleep myself. but whatever I did, I just couldn't do it.
  Awsten kept creeping his way into my mind, taking it over in a comforting sort of way. whenever I shut my eyes, his came into my mind. his beautiful blue-ish/green-ish eyes that sparkle whenever he sees something that he loves. god, his eyes were a wonder.
  this led to me thinking about other things about him, such as his attitude, his appearence (my lord his appearence), and everything else.
  he had such a cute personality. he was such a pure, adorable little, and I loved it. I love how he never disobeys or talks back to me. I love how he's confident in himself. god, I just....I love him so much!
  after thinking about him for forever and a day, I slowly became more and more tired. and with that, I fell asleep peacefully with the thought of my baby boy on my mind
