Lilly sat up straight, her eyes peeled, trying to focus on something in the darkness. Cold sweat dripped down her forehead. She was used to this, having dream-nightmares of being kidnapped by a handsome young man, fake waking up in a strange room. The dreams were like an ongoing movie without an off switch. Her dreams never made sense to her as she could never figure out why her friends were the people that stormed into the room. She never had the guts to tell them that she had a strange dream about them.
She slipped out of bed and turned on the light. The glaring brightness stung in her eyes. She rubbed them for comfort. The time was 3 o'clock in the morning. Deciding she was hungry she waddled downstairs and got out a packet of Doritos and started happily crunching away. The house was cold, Lilly shivered and pulled a grey blanket around her. Sparkling moonlight peaked through the half closed drapes. 'That's funny, I swear I closed all the curtains when I got home, must've been mum' she whispered. She crept upstairs to her bedroom, turned off the light and plonked herself onto her king sized bed.
Out of the side of her ear she caught the soft sound of hurried footsteps. Her mother should not be awake at this time. She looked around profusely but still no contact. The sound was coming from the hallway. It was almost impossible to hear. 'Must be Mia, I forgot to put her in my room last night' she said calmly. Slam. The door swung open with tremendous strength. Her heart skipped a beat. The face of the body was looking directly at her. It didn't move. Lilly tried to hide herself but she couldn't keep her eyes of the face. It's edged jaw, black eyes and dark hair. Judging by the outline shape of the body she recognised it to be a male's. The man was now moving closer. Lilly jumped out of bed and raced to the other side of the room. 'What do you want?' she demanded. 'Nothing but you' he said with a calm deep voice. 'Why'. Was this really not a dream? 'Long story' the sarcastic voice was calm. She could hear him edging forward. 'Stay back I do not wish to hurt you' she yelled. 'Hurt me, how?' the boy's face was in full view now. 'Oh my god' her voice silent with shock. This was no boy, no ordinary boy. How could this be happening? 'It can't be'. The boy from her dream.
My stomach lurched and twisted. My brain was going to pop out of my head. The boy standing in front of me now, the boy that appears in my dream-nightmares, are one. Just like in my dream my legs buckle and I start collapsing. My eyes start to glue themselves together. My neck is utterly useless. I want this to be over, I wish for it to be a dream. When I hit the ground I'll wake up, right? It's so close, the floor is close. But the floor never came. Strong arms were holding my half unconscious limp body. I'm turned over. Black piercing eyes stare at me. Becoming more drowsy and unconscious I manage to squeeze out words that will hold no purpose in this situation. 'Who are you?' Everything was black. His eyes simply melted with the darkness surrounding me. 'I am Hunter Cardiff'.
