She sat on her bed, listening to her favourite song. The light was peeking through the half closed curtains, catching the bright gold colour of her eyes. She was wearing a thin white t-shirt on with shiny black leggings. She looked around her room. Looking at all her books and the strange arrangement of her perfumes that her mother had insisted on getting for her. Suddenly an idea popped into her head, like someone had just uploaded a picture into her head. Food. Why hadn't she thought of that before?
She raced down her windy, fluffy carpet lawyered steps and into the kitchen where she saw the thing she had been looking for. There, on the red wood polished dining table lay the scrumptious looking slice of red velvet cake. It's red inside was perfectly soft and tasty, the icing that would make even the toughest man cry in delight and to finish it off were flat circle pieces of white chocolate placed on the top that were lay down like fish scales. She shoved it in her mouth and remembered that her mom was going grocery shopping and that she'd be late to get home.
She heard a muffled sound coming from outside. She walked over to the white stained window of their apartment. Apparently it was raining, pouring down. She opened the window, stuck her head out and took in the sweet smell of fresh air. The sound came again, but a lot clearer. 'Meow'. Her cat, Mia, had tucked herself underneath a cardboard box in an attempt to get out of the blistering cold rain. Lilly in reaction ran down the next flight of stairs of the three story house. She opened the creaky old front door that was decorated with curves and spirals. 'Miaaa' she throated. The fluffy grey cat didn't budge. Lilly lunged herself into the rain, to save her precious cat. She scooped up the ball of fur and sprinted back to the front door. Although she wasn't outside for longer than a few seconds she was completely drenched. She slipped off her wet shoes and socks, as not to dirty the carpet and slowly walked up the stairs. Suddenly she heard someone knock loudly on the door, startled she dropped Mia onto the carpet. Forgetting about her thin t-shirt that had gone see threw because of the rain, she opened the front creaky door and caught an eye full of a handsome boy that looked about the same age as her. The boy was tall but well built, his hair was a pure black and his irises were the colour of charcoal rocks. It took her a minute to realise that she was staring at him with her eyes crinkled and confused. Finally he spoke but it wasn't what she wanted to hear. "Nice necklace" he said in a deep voice. She held the diamond necklace that was hung around her neck. 'Thanks, my mother gav-'. She was cut off by a hand that hovered a few centimetres away from her face. She was puzzled as to what he was planning on doing next. A bright blue light came from his hand. Through his stern fingers, she could see his right eye change colour. It turned into the clearest green she had ever seen. "Dozeus" the boy said with a strong voice. Lilly's legs buckled underneath the weight of her upper collapsing body. The boy's arms wrapped around her, now, fragile body. She could smell the faint sent of men's deodorant. The last thing she saw was a glimpse of a silver plated sword with the letters K and B embed into it. It was strapped to the side of his hip by a silver plated leather belt that was hung loosely around the boy's lower abdomen.
She awoke drowsy and tired. Her muscles stiff from lying down for too long. Her eyes were refusing to open. It was dead silent, the only noise that could be heard was the silent stroke of her breathing. She felt as though her body had been frozen solid in a block of ice for thousands of years. A bang was the start of someone trying to open something. At that moment her eyes sprung open and she sat up instantly. Her gold irises scouring the cold dark room. Cursing shadows lingered within every corner. The sound of disturbed footsteps of about four or so people were becoming clearer and clearer with each step. The rusted iron door to the room slowly creaked open. Exactly four different people barged in the room. Her vision was still hazy but something about the group seemed familiar.
