I walked forwards down a grassy field surrounded by large trees. It was only blue and slightly foggy, I had the feeling that I was not alone here, that I should run. It was anything but safe here.
"Where am I..." I asked out loud while looking around. The more I walked the stranger things got, rocks started to float while treed bent and twisted around each other, the mist started to get thicker. As I walked I saw movement out of the corner of my eye and quickly turned to it, there I saw a black book resting on the ground. As I walked over to it, the closer I got the more detail I saw on it. The book had white lines and symbols on it that slightly glowed when I reached over to touch it.
"What's this?" Something said, it's voice echoing all around me. "You found the book huh? Well be a good boy and bring it to me in exchange I'll let you live." I looked around to try and figure out what was speaking to me, slowly getting worried by it's words.
"Are you deaf, boy?" The voice said "Bring it here, right now." The ground began to slowly crack around me. "You better hurry." The voice said as spikes of stone began to push it's way out of the cracks. I quickly grabbed the book and began to run as fast as I could.
"Get back here!" The voice said as I ran away. Slowly the area began to change again as the mist got even thicker to the point where I could only see a few feet in front of me.
"Not good, not good, not good!" I yelled as I ran, I could not get too far before dark green vines wrapped around my legs, pulling me back to where I found the book.
"I'm not letting you take that book with you," the voice said again, "but since you decided to run, I'll have to punish you..." The vines around my legs began to tighten to the point where I heard a loud crunch, I soon felt the pain of my legs being crushed and broken, and I screamed out in pain while holding the book still."You're still not giving it up, even after that?" The voice asked. I began to try and crawl away, more vines wrapping around me before I could get far. "Fine, I won't play nice." The voice said. "I'll come and get that book personally then." The vines slowly wrapped around my head before they all began to tighten, crushing my body completely.
Right afterwards my eyes shot open as I stared at my bedroom's wall, I slowly grabbed my phone and looked at it. The time on my phone said it was 5:20 in the morning, far too early to wake up on a Saturday morning. But after the events of my dream, I don't think I would be able to just go back to sleep, so I sat up, before feeling something in my other hand, I lifted it up to see the same black book from my dream. I slowly started to open it, and on the first page I read Book of Reality, as I did I got more curios at what it was, I turned to a page at random and read All in this world is dangerous for those who can not protect themselves from the creatures who only wish us humans harm. That's something this spell will change, read it out with a clear mind, and you will become protected from those that do wish you harm.
As I stared at the words it told me to read out, all I could do was look at it with my mouth open 'What is this? How do I even say that?' I thought before slowly reading the words, hoping I was pronouncing it correctly. "Congregate in hoc sæculo susceptor meus tenentur omnes, qui volunt malum mihi..." After I said the last word, a sharp pain entered my head as my vision began to blur before my vision fully blacked out. There was nothing but darkness and pain, I could not move, I could not think, the only thing I knew was pain before I slowly passed out.
