Witchcraft One

The Truth

"Well, Lilly," I said, "why did you two come here early again?" She looked up at me.
"Because, I thought it would save time." She replied to me. I look down at my phone.
"It's 9:20," I said, "I don't get why you have to come this early."

Sam looked over at me.
"There could be other reasons.." She said before looking out of the window.
"Please just ignore her, Matt." Lilly said while rolling her eyes at her sister. "Anyways," she said, "Eric should be close by now, so we won't have to wait too long."

"What is it that you guys were going to take me anyways?" I asked. "All you really told me was that we should all hang out today." Lilly looked over at me.
"You'll find out when Eric gets here," she said, "though that girl is going to make it harder on us, unless she stays here." Ella shook her head.
"No." Ella said. "I will not be leaving Matt."

Lilly sighs. "I figured as much." She said. "Oh well, guess we'll have to deal with that when Eric gets here." I slowly nodded before Eric suddenly walked into the house.
"Hey," Eric said, "oh good, everyone's here already, along with one more." He looked at Ella. "And what exactly is someone like you doing here?" Ella looked at Eric with a slight confused look on her face.
"I'm just an old friend of Ma-"
"There's no reason to lie." Eric interrupted her. "I know exactly what you are."

"What do you mean?" I asked him. He looked at me and sighed while shaking his head. "Do you not fully understand what she is?" He asked me. "We shouldn't talk about it here though, we'll go somewhere private. Also, go grab that book of yours."

"How do you know about that?" I asked him, he just looks at me.
"I know because I know." He said. "That's all I'm telling you until we're in a more private area, now go get the book." I slowly nodded as I got up to get the book.

Eric looks at the twins. "You two," he said, "hurry up and get ready so we can go." The two girls nodded and walked out of the kitchen. "As for you," Eric said as he turned to Ella, "we'll need to have a small talk soon, but not quite yet." Ella slowly nodded.

I walk back downstairs holding the Book of Reality. Downstairs everyone is waiting for me, but now Lilly and Sam both wearing dark brown robes and witch hats, Sam having blue lines and patterns on her robes, and Lilly the same with red lines and patterns. Both girls holding an oak wood staff with a purple crystal placed at the top and a ebony blade at the bottom.

"...What are you two wearing?" I asked with a confused look on my face.
"You'll find out later." Lilly said. "But for now, come here." I nodded before walking back to everyone else.
"Good, you got the book." Eric said. "Sam, Lilly, mind taking us to a more private area?" The twins nod then lift both of their staves into the air over their heads, bringing them back down in opposite directions. With that motion a doorway bursts out of the ground in front of them.

"Please step in." The twins say at the same time. Eric was the first to walk into the new door. Ella stood up and walk towards the door before stopping and waiting for me, I walk over and enter with her.

On the other side of the door is a room made out of stone, lit up by a spiral of different colored lights on the ceiling.
"Well, I think I owe you an explanation, right Matt?" Eric said while leaning on a wall.
"Yeah..." I said. "This is all confusing, so I would like an explanation." The twins walk in as the door closes and disappears.

"It's sort of a long story, so I'll give you a shorter version of it." Eric said. "First thing you have to know, magic is real. Now that you know that, I'll tell you two things about you." I look at Eric.
"What do you mean about that?" I asked. "What about me do you know that I don't know?" Eric laughed a bit.
"Well, for starters," he said, "you have the potential to use magic, and not only that, but given time you'll be able to use the full force of your power. Which is quite large. The last thing is, you're now the holder of the Book of Reality. And unless you die, nobody else can read it, which means you're now the target for a lot of people now." Ella looks at Eric.
"I'll stop anything that tries to kill Matt." She said as Eric looks at her.
"Do you really think that you can?" He asked Ella. "You may have been summoned here through that book, but it does not change the fact that you're just a fallen angel. You're not able to stop everything that attacks him." Ella glares at Eric.
"Then who can?" She asks Eric. "Who, if not me, will protect him?" Eric just looks at Ella with a dull look.

"We have been, and we've been succeeding," he said, "so far, at least. But now we have to teach him how to use magic, or who knows what will enter his mind through dreams." Eric then looks back to me. "Which actually reminds me," he says, "I need you to take this and wear it at all times. It will give you access to your magic and let you control it."

Eric walks over to me and hands me a light blue ring. "Wear it." He said. "It will help, trust me." I slowly nod and put it on. As soon as I do, I feel a surge of energy all around me. "Guessing from your look, you just felt everyone's magic," Eric said, "that's good, it means it's working. Just give it a while and you should be able to control that feeling."

"There's someone trying to get in." Sam said while looking at a wall.
"I'll leave you two to deal with them." Eric said. "I need to start teaching Matt the basics, I'll be sure to be fast." The twins nod.

"I guess I won't be here to teach you." Lilly sighs. "Oh well... I'll try to be back soon then." Sam nods as the two of them start to open up another doorway.

As the two leave, Eric just stands there looking at me. "I guess it's time to teach you how to use your magic."

"Where is he..." Lilly asked while looking around.
"More importantly," Sam said, "what does he want?" They walked around, staying close together.

"So you're the two I have to face first to get to my goal." A man said. "I'll be happy to sink my blade into you until you show me the way." The twins quickly turn to the voice. "Let's have fun and play until then." The man says.
