Rover woke up in a strange small metal box. There was nothing inside it, except for a bowl with some dirty looking water. He looked around it. Was this some promised land? A life after death? It couldn't be, this was horrible. He felt sick. Sicker than he had ever felt before. It felt like he was moving, but not at the same time. there seemed to be a place where the metal box opened up into metal bars, but his view was blocked by some strange black curtain-y thing. Suddenly he heard a whirring, and some strange noises. He felt the metal box suddenly fly up into then air and he held out his paws to keep himself steady. the bowl of water slid around and spilled all over the cage. 'Yuck' He thought. He silently hoped that soon this strange nightmare would be over.

He saw the humans as his mother had called them. They stared at him while they jabbed him with their weird wormy looking paws, looking at his teeth and checking his fur. He felt violated. He wanted to reach out and bite their paws and make them let him go. But he decided that might not be the best idea. Finally they finished and lifted him off the cold metal table. he squirmed around in their grip, but couldn't escape. The other human was holding this strange metal collar, and was walking towards him. Rover yelped as they put the collar on him, then put him back into a metal box. He felt the awful swinging feel then it stopped. He saw the door on the front of the box open, as it did when they took him out to look at him. This time it was different. it lead to a slightly bigger box, but the entire walls were made of the bars like the door on the box he was in now. He was wary at first then decided to wander into the new box. Once he did he heard something moving behind him. He looked back, and saw the old box moving away and saw one of the humans close this new boxes door. He sighed and looked around the new place. There was a old looking beat up cushion thing. It didn't look anything like the moss bed he had slept on when he was still with his mother fox. For one it was brown, not a pretty green, and two it was small, and uncomfortable looking. He continued looking and spotted two bowls. one was empty, and the other had water in it. This water looked better, more clean, but nothing like the stream he would drink from. There was also a weird looking thing in the corner of the room. It felt warm and nice, and also gave off light. It was glowing orange and had bars all over it, maybe to protect it from being touched or something. Frankly rover didn't care all that much. What interested him was the large brown furry thing from the side on one of his walls. the fur poked of between the bars and almost looked like it was... moving? That was strange. He carefully padded towards it and briefly sniffed it from afar. It smelled quiet yucky, but there was a certain warm smell that was familiar. He padded closer and quickly hit it with his paw. It twitched but didn't move any more than that. He tilted his head and hit it as hard as he could with his paw. It twitched again. He thought for a hard long moment. Then waited a few seconds, then bit the weird thing. It tasted musty and gross, so he quickly let go. There was a yowl and the brown thing lept into the air and flew to the back of the cage. two bright green eyes stared back at him angrily. "What in the name of-" The furry thing stopped. Rover whimpered. "I'm sorry i didn't know you were a... what are you?..." The brown thing relaxed and sat down, licking one paw with a pink tongue and rubbing their paw on their ear. "I'm a cat. Your lucky it was me you ran into too, you shouldn't just go around biting things." It, The cat, mewed. "I'm sorry i didn't know... Uh... do you have a name?" Rover asked as politely as he could. The cat seemed to think for a second then replied with, "My name is feather. Also if you don't mind asking, do you know where you are?..." She asked. "Uh no i don't....oh and my name's rover!" Rover said happily. Feather shook her head. "Oh dear that's no good." She mewed. "What? What is it?....My name?" Feather sighed. "I guess you have the right to know. Alright here i go. i have alot to say maybe you should sit down for this one."
