Rover whimpered. He had encountered snakes before, but they were always little with no.... neck thingy? He lowered down instinctively. The snake, Cobra, hissed and pressed his face onto the bars. "My my what do we have here? Fresh blood?" Rover shuttered and pinned his ears down to his head. Cobra hissed and lifted his head away from the bars. "That's what i thought." He hissed and flicked his tail. "Feather i wonder why you didn't tell me that there was someone new." Feather glared and bared her teeth. "Because i forgot. Why do you think idiot?" She spat sarcastically. Cobra seemed amused by this and let out what seemed to be a laugh? He closed up his neck frill and smiled, his teeth glowing orange like fire. Rover got up and lifted his ears up. "Whoa whats up with your teeth?" He asked. Cobra closed his mouth and hissed. "None of your business runt." Rover tilted his head. "Oh okay." Then there it was. The sound of footsteps. A sickly silence hung on the air for a moment, then rover's door creaked open. He could see the gloved paws reaching for him. His hackles rose and he could hear feather hissing, breaking the silence. The world seemed to return to its regular speed as he was picked up, the rush of adrenaline blazing through his veins. He tried to bite the scientist but was rewarded not by flesh but by only rubber. He let go and yipped at it, but to no avail. He wiggled, but to no avail. The scientist started walking. Rover just gave up and let his body go limp. He was carried off to a corridor. There were several doors leading off, but the scientist kept going. then they reached it. there was a large black metal door. The scientist seemed nervous for seem reason. He grabbed rover's scruff with one gloved paw, and opened the door with the other. He quickly threw rover in and rover hit the cold stone tiled floor. Everything went black.
