I've been living with adam for a little over a week now. Sometimes I wake up and forget where I am. I keep thinking I'll wake up in my room with that l night light in the corner dimly lighting my room at night. Adam hasn't brought up Joe since we ran into him at the mall- even though I can feel him itching to say something sometimes. It was raining a little today but it was still kinda warm out. I kinda liked it when it rains like this, when its in between drizzle and rain. I was sitting out on the deck drinking some tea; my stomach was in knotts. I'm still the usual anxious mess. Adam disappeared randomly after lunch. Something about work or some crap. I let out a long sigh finishing my tea and headed inside. Since Adam wasn't home I could totally do a little snooping. I snuck upstairs and ran up to his office door. I grasped the doorknob cautiously and turned it; locked.

"Rats!" I hissed. I stood there angrily staring at the door knob kinda hoping it just shatter into pieces from my intense glare. I leaned down and peered into the keyhole. I could faintly see a fancy leather chair and a light wooden desk. I pulled away and ran off to his bedroom.

'If I had a key to an office where would I hide it..'

I started rummaging through his nightstand, and damn did he have a lot of clutter in here-- but no keys. I checked the closet, his dresser, his desk-- finally I checked under the bed. I laid down on the carpet and  reached underneath and I felt a box. I pulled it out slowly and set the wooden box on my lap. Smoothing my hand over the wood, I clicked it open. Inside there was a wad of cash and a key. My ryes narrowed. I took the key and gently shut the box sliding it under the bed.
I held my breathe running back to the office door. I felt a rush of anxiety wash over me but also excitement, I always respected peoples privacy, don't get me wrong, but I'm probably going to be stuck with this guy for a while and he seems to have a weird thing for me... Not that I don't have a thing for him-- ;;ANYWAY;
It was the wrong key. I kept getting it in halfway and it get stuck and wouldn't move. I kept toying with it- until

"Whatchya doin' there babe."

I jumped and dropped the key and slowly turned around.

"He..heeeeeyy." I was shaking. I didn't even hear him come up the stair what the hell.

"Key doesn't fit huh," he slowly started walking up to me. I blinked and backed up a bit, nervously I started laughing.

"Why are you laughing." He uncrossed his arms corning me against the door.

"I--uhm I just--"

"That was a very bad  thing to do Venus." He let my name roll off his tongue.
