Sunlight cut through the thin, plum curtains and permeated the room, lighting up clouds of swirling dust. The room was small and contained three large pieces of furniture. One was a bed that took up the entire space of the colorful wall it was pushed against. The covers were baby blue, well made and tidy. Adjacent was a white dresser. Unlike the bed, clothing was shoved into the drawers and stuck out the openings. Small mementos and figures sat on the top it's surface. A large mirror rested on the edge of the dresser and leaned against the wall. Photos of smiling people were stuck into the crevices where the mirror met a border. Directly in front of the dresser there was a desk. It was cluttered with scattered papers and pens. A gentle breeze moved the curtains and some papers fell onto the hard wood floor.

The door opened and a cheery girl skipped into the room. Her blue curls bounced along with her movements. She held a pile of folded clothing and stuck them into the drawer. With all of her strength, she got the drawer to close. The girl huffed in victory only to watch the drawer spring open. She pouted, but left it alone. A cold gust blew the papers around the room and made the girl shiver. The wind stopped and the papers fell to the ground. It was her homework. She stayed up late the previous night to finish it for the weekend.

Once she had collected all of the pages she dropped them on her desk. She stared at the pile as her excitement slowly bubbled inside her. Finally she burst and jumped onto her bed and screamed into a pillow. She rolled around until she fell off off the bed. The door opened and a teal head of hair peaked into the room.

"Are you okay Daisy?" The boy asked.

"Yes, I'm fine Bellis! I'm just really excited for tonight!" Daisy sat up still hugging the pillow. "I'll go out later and get food for the party."

"Oh by the way," Bellis said just as he was about to leave. "Helian wanted me to tell you that he is going to pick Lily up. He wanted to know if he needed to get Rose too?"

"I'm meeting Rose at the supermarket later. Since she lives nearby, I thought I could pick her up when I got the food." Daisy said. Bellis nodded and left the room, making sure to close the door behind him. Daisy and her brother were twins who were adopted into a wealthy family. Although they were twins, they were not identical. Daisy had light blue hair, while Bellis had darker blue-green hair. Both of them had odd curls that seemed to defy the laws of physics. Daisy's fell in front of her forehead and Bellis' stuck out on the right side of his head. Their eyes matched their hair, but Bellis tended to hide them behind a thick pair of sunglasses that Helian had recently given him. They were about the same height, but Bellis was slightly taller.

Daisy placed the pillow back in its spot carefully and laid back on the soft mattress. Her eyes closed as she sighed with a grin on her face. This weekend had been planned for months. It was actual her friend Lily's idea, but she was too poor to host. They had never been to her house, but nobody bothered to ask her about it. Daisy's house was large, spacious and the perfect place to hang out. Their living room had a large screen TV and a diverse library of video games. Her favorite feature of the house was that the fridge was always stocked with sweets and other snacks. However her parents were strict about food consumption and health, but currently they were away on a business trip. This was the reason they planned the get together for that particular weekend. No annoying parents to boss them around.

Daisy's eyes fluttered open when her stomach started growling at her. It was about 4 o'clock in the afternoon and she had not eaten anything yet. She debated whether or not to eat breakfast, but decided it was way too late. Pulling herself up, she brushed her messy hair with her fingers and stood up. She stretched and stumbled out the door. The hallway was painted in a solid dark blue, almost purple, with elegant white trimming. The walls were lined with family photos inside expensive black frames. The frames had silver designs and in large, bold and flowing letters it read, Perennis. This was their family name. Neither Daisy nor Bellis cared much about it, perhaps because they were adopted, but their parents were very interested in their genealogy and heritage. All Daisy knew was that it was Latin.
