Chapter 11: Flashback

Summer's past

Summer had just started her second year at a new school, she knew everyone in her class this year except for two people, a girl with long/short blonde hair and green eyes and freckles who was a bit shorter than her, and a boy with shaggy dark brown hair and the prettiest blue eyes ever, the boy and the girl just happened to be who we know and love today as Gracie and Nash. Summer started to hang out with Gracie and they eventually clicked and became the ultimate best friends, as for Nash he also started to hang out with the girls and they all became a small group of three and then came two girls, one with dark hair and deep-ish dimples, the other with light thin hair and blue-grey eyes, they happened to be Sydney and Claire.

Once they all started to become a group Aaron and Blake came into the picture, Aaron and summer became super close then eventually started dating and the same with Gracie and Blake. When Aaron dumped summer she was heartbroken but got over it soon enough and started to date her close friend Nash and they are the couple you know now. When Blake cheated on Gracie and broke up with her she was devastated and didn't leave the house for about a month and moved on from Blake and was single for the remainder of almost two years, until she met Cameron at the hotel.

Summer's pov
The last thing I remember before I blacked out when Aaron kidnapped me is Nash telling me he loved me when I left, then I had a flashback and woke up tied up to a chair and the sound of Aaron's laugh sent shivers up my spine. When he made the cut on my cheek I didn't feel it at first with all the adrenaline pumping but I saw a drop of dark maroon blood fall onto my lap then my friends and Nash came to save me, I don't even want to think of what might've happened if it weren't for Nash and Gracie calling everyone and coming to save me.
The next day Nash was acting a bit strange and I wanted to know if something was going on so I texted him and asked him of something was going on and he simply replied with, "You'll find out tonight. Oh and dress fancy casual." Which to I just said okay. I texted Gracie and asked her if she wanted to come over and she said she wasn't feeling well so I was just laying around and watched Netflix and vine until Nash texted me: "hey I'm on my way home, are you ready?" I had forgotten to get ready so I plugged in my speaker and listened to some music while I straitened my long dirty blonde hair and did a smokey eye look with some winged eyeliner and mascara plus just a little bit of lip gloss and Chapstick, I put on a spaghetti strap floral dress with some white flats and grabbed my purse, phone, and Chapstick, and keys. When I got down stairs Nash was waiting for me and his jaw practically hit the floor when he saw me "babe you look beautiful, actually no... You look gorgeous." I said thanks and we left. He drove up to a very fancy restaurant and we had a super expensive and fancy dinner then we had dessert, when we got back to Nash's car he pulled out his phone and started texting someone, I didn't know who but it was probably Cameron or something like that.

Gracie's pov
Once Nash and summer left their house he texted me and Cameron and we let our selves into the house and started decorating, since I was on shopping duty I got some white and red streamers and red and white balloons while I helped Cameron with decorating, we put rose petals from the door to the main room, and rose petals in the main room like Nash told us to, then we put some candles around making a trail from the door, we heard people talking and we hid behind the stairs. When Nash and summer walked in summer gasped and practically yelled "BABE IS THIS WHY YOU WERE ACTING SO WEIRD?? IS THIS ALL FOR ME??" She had a giant smile spread across her face when suddenly Nash nodded and said, "Happy anniversary baby girl, I love you and I have a gift for you." He reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a silver chain with a silver heart shaped locket on it, I helped him pick it out and customize it because he trusts me and I know summer, on the front of the heart it had engraved on it "N+S I love you" I could here summer quietly crying as she opened the locket and saw a picture of Nash inside, she hugged him and Cameron and I snuck out from behind the stairs and started clapping, summer looked up at us and gasped with shock and excitement when she said, "you guys were in on it too? Did you two help set this all up?" We didn't say anything and just nodded our heads and Nash reached into his pocket only to pull out a keychain with a heart shaped locket on it that said the same thing as Summer's necklace but inside had a picture of her. He walked her to the main room, sat her down on the couch and said to her in a playful way "I only let the two of them help because I know that Gracie knows youn really well and I trust the two of them." She giggled and Cameron and I left.
