It was Taeyeon's birthday. She had tried to pretend like nothing was wrong. Tried to forget what she had seen. Tried to forget the ache in her heart when she saw Tifany leave with Yuri. She tried to keep things the way they were, said nothing about what had happened and was as sweet as ever towards Tiffany, and all seemed well in appearance. Except that underneath the perfect gold cover was rusting copper. Taeyeon was determined to stay with Tiffany. She would not be the one to give up on them.
Taeyeon: Fany, how about dinner tonight?
Tiffany: Oh, jeongmal mianhae Taetae, I have plans aready..
Taeyeon ( disappointed ): Oh, dae, gwaenchanha. Some other time then. Okay?
Tiffany: Araso!
Tiffany rushed off immediately after shooting was over.
Lee Soo Man brought out a cake topped with bright candles.
The crew ( sings ): Happy birthday to you. Hhappy birthday to you. Happy birthday dear Taeyeon. Happy birthday to you.
Lee Soo Man: Make a wish.
Taeyeon closed her eyes, wishing that Tiffany hadn't fallen in love with her best friend. Wishing for Tiffany to love her again.
Lee Soo Man: Mianhae, you had to work on your birthday. The sponsors are really rushing us. They say if they don't see some result soon, they're going to cut the budget.
Taeyeon looks around to see if Yuri is there. she's not, as expected.
Lee Soo Man: Taeyeon?
Taeyeon: Hmm?? Hh, yea..
Lee Soo Man: You wanna cut the cake.
Taeyeon: Dae.
Taeyeon cuts the cake, gulps down a piece and rushes out after briefly thanking everybody..
Taeyeon drives frantically with no destination in mind. Then she remembers the other night and drives towards the hotel. Taeyeon backs quickly into a parking spot, leaving tire marks. She slams the door and rushes angrily into the lobby, jabs at the elevator button several times. Upon finally being able to enter the elevator, Taeyeon almost knocks down an old lady. She hesitates for a moment, then pushes the button for the 30th floor.
As she gets out of the elevator, she pauses. She thinks and tries to calm down. then hears her handphone ring.
Taeyeon: Yoboseyo?
Tiffany: Taetae? Where are you right now?
Taeyeon: Wae?
Tiffany: Could you give me a ride?
Taeyeon: Don't you have a car?
Tiffany: Um.. It broke down.
Taeyeon: Where are you?
Tiffany: In front of the Ritz Carlton Hotel.
Taeyeon ( lies ): I'm not quite sure how to get there. Can you give me directions?
Taeyeon walks toward room 309 as Tiffany gives her directions. She leans her ear against the door and hears Tiffany.
Tiffany: - then you turn right and I'm in front of the hotel. You got that?
Taeyeon: Araso, I think I got it.
Taeyeon knocks on the door of 309.
Yuri opens the door.
Taeyeon sees Tiffany talking on her cell phone behind Yuri. Her fist flies out and hits Yuri, then she shoves her aside.
Taeyeon: Yea, I'm sure your car broke down and you just had to open a room with Yuri.
