My Gift to You:
Chapter 1 - A New Beginning
It seems like a millennia since I've been back home. Chasing the same dreams, playing with old friends, and other normal activities I partook in as a child. It was finally coming back to me, I could finally be happy again.
My prayers, my hopes . . . it's finally time. It's time to go home.

7:45 A.M.
The autumn leaves swayed in unison as the crisp, cool air flew in from the south. Upon the horizon set a beautiful array of majestic purples, yellow, and just about everything in between. The town was boisterous, the faint smell of pastries wafting in from the distance as citizens conversed and chatted for hours on end on this beautiful fall morning. Yet, in the distance a small bus came rumbling forward, nearing the petite town, little by little. It's existence was unheeded, but unbeknownst to the people in this small village, a heroine will emerge.
The small vehicle stopped, signally the passage of others to come on, and the passengers to leave. From the door appeared a young lady, no younger than 16, as she hoisted her luggage up onto her shoulders for a more comfortable grip. A cracked sigh escaped her plump, chapped lips as she veered to the left to begin her new life anew. Though, her journey was short lived as the familiar name, her name, was called by another.
Turning around, the girl's ears perked up at the aforementioned name, her eyes wide and peeking with interest. The silence continued, as the town ignored the holler, before it rang out again.
The girl turned back to her original spot, more confused than ever, her back stiffening from her heavy bags. Before she could continue anymore, a figure appeared before her eyes. She didn't say anything, just observing how the anxious male made it's way to her figure. Did he need anything?
The male stopped right in front of the lovely dame as he took a moment to recollect his ecstatic lobe. The girl took notice and prepared herself to speak, but nothing came out, only a squeak of slight nervousness escaped from her throat as she flushed a light red in embarrassment.
The male chuckled, his attention focusing on the girl yet again before his smooth voice acknowledged her yet again, "(Y/N)?"
The girl nodded swiftly before allowing the man to continue, "I was asked to meet you at the rendezvous point, here. Don't worry, I'm a friend of your mother's, so to speak."
The girl furrowed her eyebrows, her eyes narrowing ever so slightly before she, herself, retorted rather rudely, "My mother?"
"Y-Yes, your, uh-hem . . . mother," the male repeated, his demeanor shaking uneasily.
"Well, she must of handed you a note, I presume? Show me," the girl scolded, her mind trying to muster up words to make her sound . . . mature.
"O-Oh? Oh!" The male sprung to action, jittering as he shuffled through his pockets. Not a minute later, he retrieved a small, folded paper from the depths of his pockets. His face was filled with pride as he handed the moist note to the uncomfortable girl in front of him.
She took the note with a bit of force, purposely implying her anger to the person in front of her. As if karma, itself, was watching her, a bystander nudged her hard in her shoulder knocking loose her luggage. It tumbled to the ground, just as her hope did just then. She only sighed, her mind boggled with insults to herself and not the one who caused it.
The male held up a finger, implying her to stand still as he knelt down and picked up the load. He appeared to struggle more than the girl, as he continued to grip onto the fabric, his knuckles turning white in the process.
The girl only hummed in acknowledgment as she opened the letter, her mind swarming with relief from the 'short-lived' 'epidemic'. Though, her attention was brought to the note as she read it's contents, sighing as she realized the man was most probably right, as much as she hated to admit it.
Her eyes looked up expectantly at the fidgeting male, his face red from effort. She sighed again, before saying a simple 'ok' before following the struggling male to his personal black car. Nothing was said inbetween as the male dealt with the luggage by stuffing it in the trunk as she gingerly sat down in the front space, taking pride in the spot as she watched the boisterous world outside the window, separating her world from theirs.
"Well, shall we?" The male queried as he looked at the girl for approval. She simply nodded, a fake grin on her features as she turned to stare back out the window to the pretty colors of Mother Nature and it's inhabitants who took this land as their own. A land she used to call home.
