Chapter 2- Settling In

It was noon by time we got to the house. When we entered Chica greeted us at the door. She seemed happy that there was someone new there. She barked happily to see my dad and pa? I guess I'll call Séan pa. When I put my stuff down Chica sniffed it. My dad showed me around the house and Chica followed behind us while pa made a vlog saying that him and Mark were parents now. He even showed me to the viewers. I went to my room and laid down on my bed after exploring the place a bit. Chica followed me in and laid down on my bed too and just looked at me. After a bit I decided to unpack all my belongings. While doing so my phone vibrated. I looked to see who it was. Turns out it was my best friend calling me. Of corse I answered my phone. "Hey Sophie what's up?" All I heard was her balling and sniffing. I knew something was up. "Girl what happened? Is everything ok?" I put it on speaker so I can unpack the rest of my things. "Today is the worst day ever!" She yelled into the phone in between sniffs. Let's just say I was glad that I didn't have the phone to my ear when she yelled. This time. I learned that the hard way. "First my best friend moved away and then my boyfriend dumped me for no good reason, can to day get any worse?!" She balled. All I could do was sigh. You see Sophie was in this on again off again relationship with a player named Tyson. So every time I tell her she can do better then Tyson she gets all defensive about it. "Once again I will say 'I told you so'. Tyson is a player why can't you understand that Sophie. He just uses you." I tell her. I knew she needed some girl time but I wanted to get to know my new family some more. "Can I spend the night at your place? I need some girl time and something to get my mind off of HIM." She sniffed. I knew she really needed it but I just moved in. "Sophie I'll need to ask but I'm not sure what they will say. But I will explain what happened and see if they will let you stay the night. Ok?" I said. "O-Ok. Love ya like a sister." She said. "Love ya like a sister." I ended the call and put my forehead against my dresser. That's when I looked in the mirror and saw pa standing there. I screamed not expecting someone to be there. "What was all that about?" Pa asked. I explained everything to him and he took pity on her and he said that he will ask my other dad if it was alright if she spends the night.
